Woot. My first sim racing for a while. I'll be slow but I know how to cover the apexes in reverse grid races

Sadly I will miss it, house still being repaired. I'll be watching all the little numbers ripping around the track in Liveview. Should be a good one!

Re: NZrFL:27 Mini Challange Round 1 - Tereatonga 11th Feb
Enjoyed being back. Had only done one brief practice, so was pleasantly surprised to be within a second of the back of the field. Hopefully I'll close the gap over the next few weeks.
Well organised.
Plenty of two-wide racing in the early laps of reverse grid races but clean and fair.
And almost led my 1st ever lap of NZrFL, got a great start from 4th race "pole", only lost the lead to a late-braking Rifty at the last turn.

Great night...
Some good battles in the mid pack. Lost some time from my own mistakes but was still able to get back on the tail of the guys in front to keep it interesting.

Sorry to Vlad, Rifty, and if a crashed somebody else and everyobody in the start of the 4th race I got too excited by the idea of beating Hugh, I'll try to be more careful next one.

Re: NZrFL:27 Mini Challange Round 1 - Tereatonga 11th Feb
The Crash Committee (CC) has reviewed the last round of racing.
On a whole the driving standards are very good however Round 1 race nerves did play a part in some drivers and there were some incidents. One area is the race starts where some drivers are unsure if the lights are green. This creates a concertina effect as the back drivers are getting to speed and come across slow or stopped drivers. The outcome is someone gets damage.
Please use your hud to see when the race starts if you can't see the lights.
The other area is gaps and braking zones. Everyone brakes at different places so be aware in the opening laps.
This is a general warning to all drivers - watch the opening laps and driving standards. The CC doesn't want to penalise drivers but that will be your call in the end.
