9.00pm Top Five Shootout (no cars on the track no talk on Ts please) one out lap, one flying lap. Grab another chance at poll..

1 x 20 min sprint race -Pits Open - Compulsory Drive Through - Must be served by the 5min warning, if you incur damage and pit to repair, this will count as your drive through

1 x 40 min Feature race -Pits Open - You will need fuel and tyres. Grid assigned from finishing positions of Race 1

Both races have a 70% DNF threshold - no points if you don't get to that race percentage - repair your car, get your points and get seat time
Both races have cross the finish line bonuses - repair your car and finish for guaranteed points

Race rules as per the KSR Race Rule Thread - http://www.kiwisimracing.net.nz/forum/v ... 49&t=18354

Crossing The Finish Line
When crossing the finish line, crashing your car is not acceptable and will not be tolerated any further.
Driver's are still racing and racing for position, crashing can cause frame hits for people and it is unfair to disrupt their racing.
Pull over off the track and Esc.. or drive back to the pits.. its just common courtesy.
Breaking this rule will result in points loss.

Race Settings:
Tyre Wear - Normal
Fuel Usage -Normal
Damage - 80%
Mechanical Failures - Normal
Flag Rules - Black Only
Driver Aids - Auto Clutch Only
Starts - Standing
Weight Handicaps - May be added if the race admin deems it necessary

Just so everyone is clear, there is a cone on the ripple strip as you head down the start - finsh straight.

ALL drivers at ALL times must be on the right hand side of this cone when racing. You may not go through it either. If you find yourself on the left hand side of this cone you are either going in to the pits or you have a very bad racing line.

The CC will be looking at this and may penalise drivers.

If you're happy to have me in the race tomorrow then I'd like to join. Seemed to be lapping 0.59-1.05 tonight. But please put me at the back of the grid.
Will try and hold my line when getting passed and will do my best to not take you out but slower driver = less skilled. :o

Excellent racing last night guys, congratulations for the organization, the mod is very hard but fun and the race system is very good. I made a thousand mistakes in both races, I apologize with Cobolt on the second one I touched him from behind and even if I waited for him to pass it was too late, sorry mate _b . I managed to follow Bk (wich is not that much really haha :larf: ) for 4 or 5 laps so I am happy with it, I hope that for the next one I can make it way better. Congratulations to Rifty and Hugh for the victories. _b _b _b

Enjoyable night.

I had some great battles last night, notably trying to hold of Bull and Rifty on cold tires in R2 as I came out the pits.

Being a small track, there wan't much time to relax adn the pressure was full on for the all races.

Looking forward to Sebring with laps times jsut over 2 mins :D

No Worries Gamuz, it's all good.

I had a great tussle with you, zimmie10 and Maniak swapping spins :larf:

Had a blast last night but man, I need to find some pace.

Consistency will translate to pace soon enough. you did very well for your first outing.

Great nights racing.. Race 1 balls up... car only moves when in gear, and two trips of pitlane. :larf:

Good night and great racing.

There were some significant speed differences. When Hugh went passed me in the second race I had to check I was in the right gear!

Yeah was quite happy with my results last night considering I spun in both races. Think no practice was the reason actually haha! Seriously, because I just went into last night with no expectations and told myself not to try and keep up with the fast guys and mainly focus on not crashing these challenging cars. Just drove my own race most of the time except for when I starting focusing on faster guys in my mirrors which which caused both my spins!

Good to have all the newer drivers on board, makes the 40 min races more interesting. (well all races really!)

New format is good for something different too, it's quite fun doing qualifying, and like the idea of one short and one long race.
Did you guys see why I got a DNF in the 2nd race? Can't work out why. Presume that's why I only got 25 bonus points? Or was that for being a dark horse!? :larf:

I've fixed the points site, you've now got the additional 25 points and no DNF.

Ha cheers Rifty. You know why it happened though? So I don't do it again.
I did a complete in lap and came back into the pits. When I hit escape it did bring up "exit to monitor" which someone said meant the race wasn't finished???

You need to see the checkered flag when crossing the finish line. Looks like you didn't actually finish the race?

As I explained on TS Vlad, the race isn't over when the timer hits 0:00. If the leader has started the next lap then everyone else in the field must also do the next lap. Sure fire way to make sure is that when you hit esc if the race has finished it will take you straight out, if it comes up asking you to exit to monitor yes/no it means the race is still in progress.

Basically no one can finish until after the leader has completed his last lap.
