DiRT Rally - League Setup

Post by Bull » Tue Dec 15, 2015 10:02 pm

Hey Guys,

As a fair few of you all have DiRT Rally, I have setup a KSR League on the Dirt Rally Page - Click Here and search for "Kiwi Sim Racing"

Once finding the league you will be able to join the league. This will then show available event/s for the league.

I have currently one event set up, an easy-ish 6 stage event on the new Sweden routes, with the 80's class car, so nothing too overpowering! I have also allowed restarts for the first event as we get used to it :)

To access the events in game, you click on leagues from the menu in game, and select Kiwi Sim Racing. It should then allow you to view and partake in the event/s there.

The current event is currently live, and ends on 8pm next Tuesday. Which brings me to my next point....

NEXT TUESDAY we will be running some online Rallycross racing. We will kick off around 8pm onwards, so the more the merrier! I will put another post up to remind closer to the time.

Any questions fire away!

Just a tip,

Ive found if you find the steering way to sensitive, under the settings set "Linearity" to -10% - this will be the less sensitive the game allows as far as I can figure out, then increase it to suit yourself.

FYI you only get one shot at this, so don't go thinking you can try to improve your times on a subsequent run.

If you don't know the stages, or the car maybe you want to practice before taking a run. I didn't :-(

Great game though.

...and have to say I really appreciated your making a mistake in one stage. It's nice to win something, sometimes!

Just done my run now. The Sweden stages are quite interesting, seems like there's a bit more grip than expected. Interestingly, I got crushed on the two stages with poor visibility, which probably says something about how I drive :P

I think it could be a lot funner if we were on at the same time as well. Not sure quite how well it'd work with the pacenotes needing to be heard, but maybe a system of muting TS while on the stages?

Good luck to anyone still to run

Yes I did a couple of well executed rolls in one of the stages!

I agree mike, but finding a time we are all on could be difficult

Any requests?

Thats all good, I can have more then one event live at a time so the last one will remain active until the time runs out (8pm Tuesday)

I will be on most of tonight if anyone wants to jump on for a bit of a play around

:kickcan:
I waited and waited but actually drank beer instead of kicking a can to pass time but gave up after an hour. :munch:

:soapbox:
Hopefully after that fat prick in the red suit has finished his yearly big business sponsored, capitalistic orgy of greed, waste and brainwashing by advertisement, all centred around a religious fairy tale, normal life will start again. :Puke:

Yes, yes, yes, I'm an old, grumpy, bah humbug.

Till next Tuesday have a merry Festivus. :raspberry:

Was a bit of a shame no one really jumped on, but guess thats the joys of this time of year!

I am just setting up a couple more stage events to run through during the week, and hopefully we can get a few together for some RallyX soon!

I will be home most days between Xmas and 28th so if anyone wants to have a jam just send me a message on here, Steam, etc.

I'd be pretty keen for some more rallyes. I pulled my back out a few weeks ago so missed the last few, but am all good now. Maybe something in Wales?
