Motor racing on Phillip Island began in 1928 with the running of the 100 Miles Road Race, an event which has since become known as the first Australian Grand Prix. It utilised a high speed rectangle of local closed-off public roads with four similar right hand corners.
In 1951, a group of six local businessmen decided to build a new track. About 2 km away from the original circuit, it still bears the corner name signs of the original circuit. As the piece of available land was on the edge of the coast, the track is known for its steep grades – the highest 57 metres – which caused cost overruns and delays in track opening. The new track was opened in 1956 [Wikipedia]

Race Night Format:
8:00pm Server rolls
8.45pm Qualifying (out lap, two flying laps, pull over and esc)
8.55pm Drivers briefing on Discord (no cars on the track please)

All races have cross the finish line bonuses - repair your car and/or finish for guaranteed points.

Race rules as per the KSR Race Rule Thread.
Please hold off post race chat on Discord until the last car has crossed the line, it can be very distracting.

Tyre Wear - 2x
Fuel Usage - 2x
Damage - 60%
Mechanical Failures - Normal
Driving View - Free
Flag Rules - Black Only
Driver Aids - Auto Clutch Only

Driver Notes:
-The pit exit feeds directly onto the racing line. It is absolutely crucial that drivers communicate their pit exits, either via Discord or in-game chat. If you are driving past the pit exit and a car is leaving the pits you must leave a car's width on the circuit until you are past the car exiting the pits.
-Although pit stops are not mandatory, you will almost certainly need to stop for fuel at some point in Race 2.
