NZrFL:41 Clio Sprint Cup
ROUND 1 STARTS 18TH APRIL
I present to you all, our second rFactor 2 Series - Clio Sprint Cup!
The idea with this short but sweet series is to have some hard, fast, enjoyable racing. For anyone new to rFactor 2 that hasn't got to grips with it yet, or wants to give it a try, or even the seasoned veterans, this series plans to cater for all needs. Easy to drive vehicles, on quality club circuits. There will be panel rubbing, paint swapping, tear inducing, heart palpating action all across the race circuit!
We will also be using this series to test out the Real Weather Plug-in/Effects, so there may be hints of rain!
Race night format will vary each round, but the basics will be all sprint races. First round will have a random "Heat" grid draw, and then the rounds following will have grids based off championship points, round points, fastest race times etc. There will be plenty thrown in to mix it up, and keep the racing fresh and exciting!
We have also pushed race times back to 9pm for this series - let us know if prefer this time or the earlier time that we used in the previous series.
Race Night Format:
8:30 - Official Practice
8:55 - Drivers Briefing
9:00 - Racing Commences
Schedule: (Subject To Change)
[18/04] Round 1: Mills 2011 - Inner Loop A
[25/04] Round 2: Lime Rock Park - No Chicanes
[02/05] Round 3: Toban - Medium Circuit
[09/05] Round 4: NOLA Motorsports Park - B Course
Mod + Track Installation:
Mod and Tracks are all part of ISI or Studio-397 releases, so most should have them already installed. If you haven't, here are the links to them on the Steam Workshop:
Renault Clio 2010
Toban 2016
Mills Metro 2011
Lime Rock Park
Nola Motorsports Park 2016
Race Settings: (Subject to change)
Flag Rules - Black Only
Fuel usage - 2X
Tire Usage - Normal
Mech Failures - Normal
Practice Time - 60mins
Type of Start - Standing
Driving Aids
Traction Control - 0
Anti Lock Brakes - 0
Auto Clutch - Yes

Crossing The Finish Line:
When crossing the finish line, crashing your car is not acceptable, nor is any Discord chat until the last person has finished.
Drivers are still racing, and racing for position, and it is unfair to disrupt their racing.
Pull over off the track and Escape out... or drive back to the pits.
Points Site / Sign-ups:
Sign up at the usual points site: Points Site
Follow the instructions, post back here if it all gets too hard.
Teams:
Teams of two may be entered on the points site.
There is a teams championship as well, so grab a team mate and register your team on the points site.
Skin Reservation Thread:

All races have cross the finish line bonuses.
Race rules as per the KSR Race Rule Thread - RULES HERE (Please make sure you have read these)

Cool. Definitely prefer the 9pm start. The earlier start was a bit of a push to get the kids into bed on time and still make it on for quali!

Same, it was something I tried to help with a semi early finish. Didn't quite pan out ideal for everyone.

Looks like a cool series.
I've downloaded all the files but when I try to join the server I get "Package Not Available". Is there something else I need to download as well? Looking in the content tab it looks like everything is installed. Oh and I presume the password is the same as when rFactor was used?
Thanks

Please make sure you have subscribed to the four tracks and the mod. NOLA Motorsport Park is one that isn't included with rFactor 2, it was added on later so you will need subscribe and download it if you haven't already.

Unsubscribing from NOLA Motorsport park and then resubscribing seemed to fix it. Thanks

Re: NZrFL:41 Clio Sprint Cup
Well that wraps up NZrFL:41 and our second successful rFactor 2 series.
I had a aim with this series when I set it up to provide some great, close racing, and to give everyone a good time battling in packs - there's nothing worse than lapping on your own for the whole series!
I think from the photos, the feedback, results etc, this was a success. There was many great battles throughout the field during the series, and some great results for some new faces to the podium - and even some new race winners as well.
Was a nice short series, and I hope those who competed have enjoyed it, and are looking to joining in our next series.
I personally just want to thank all you guys who have turned up, obviously without you there wouldn't be any racing. Also have to thank Riven and InSPire.net - as always, without their help we simply wouldn't have a server or community to race on. And lastly Rifty, for doing the points site, even though you were a bit slack at times :P
Also a well done to everyone who achieved a personal best during the series, and well done to MMJ and Danman on your podium finishes overall - MMJ you were consistently the fastest during the series, whilst Danman had by far the best tyre management and was consistently quick start to finish. Both of you have a well deserved podium finish.
From here we will start planning our next series, so keep your eyes open! As always we are open to any suggestions regarding mod, track, race night format etc, so if you got an idea - post it!
Look forward to racing with you all again next series.

Re: NZrFL:41 Clio Sprint Cup
Thanks for organizing the series. I really enjoyed the racing, I'd like to think my driving has improved but I think these cars might just be easier to drive. It was great to have close racing right through the field and a good sized field too.
