Round 3 Of this action pack series is almost upon us!

With the scheduled DX11 Beta release on Monday (More likely Tuesday Morning for us kiwis) and compatibility online between the current build and the beta, it will be a great chance for those wanting to test out VR and the new graphics engine!

Track: Toban Medium Circuit

Schedule:
8:00pm: Official Practise
8:55pm: Drivers Briefing
9:00pm: Racing Commences

Format:
Round 3 will feature 3 races again tonight, with the first race being a reverse grid of the current championship standings. Race 2 will then feature a mix-up, with reverse positions of each drivers fastest lap set during Race 1. Race 3 will then be a reverse grid of current round standings.

First two races will both be 15 minute sprints, with the final race of the night a 20 minute sprint

Probably be a good idea if those who wanted to use DX11 beta get on a little earlier, in case it causes issues so they can roll back. Some people over at RaceDepartment are reporting big frame drops. I gave it a try, and it seems all right to me. Looks maybe a little better, but the bloom setting seems a bit too high.

If you want to use it, you right click the game in steam library -> properties and then go to the "betas" tab, and select the directx11 build in the drop down. I think it's a ~500mb download, but I'm not sure, as some workshop stuff downloaded too.

Ive been testing it, no issues so far. Never know until on a race with full field of cars though.

I thought it looked great, but the bloom especially on brake lights was a little OTT as Mike suggested. Other than that its a huge improvement, considering neither the Clios or Toban circuit have been updated at all in this Beta.

I updated all the workshop content first, USF, Corvette etc (All ISI content) then I did the beta. Downloaded 3gig for that alone, so I assume there was some additional workshop items that had to be re downloaded?

Ah OK, I thought the 3GB download was for some workshop items. Must've been the 500mb after that was Workshop related.

Did you do any post on those images Rifty? The DX11 looks pretty good in still images.

A good selection of photos from myself and Rifty have been added onto the KSR Facebook page (Link in first post).

If you haven't got the DX11 update, both of us have taken photos with the DX11 options on and the quality speaks for themselves! Definitely worth trying if you are yet to do so.

Next track in the series is truly terrible in VR. Shudders and shakes all over the place. Nausea rules (and I have had no problem with nausea).

I think I might have to skip the next race :-(

That sucks :(

They are releasing frequent updates so I would definitely give it another try on Sunday or Monday. My game downloaded about 5 updates yesterday alone! They have released a thing on their site for feedback as well, and a tool to capture performance issues with the Beta.
