Run in borderless mode. Essentially windowed but gets rid of the borders so it looks identical to full screenvandem wrote:Getting somewhere, thanks Bull.
Managed to change my in-game name (was trickier than is needed to be).
Getting some PC lockups when ALT-TABbing to browser - are you others running in windowed mode? Current solution is to remember not to ALT-TAB.
Can keep the car on the tarmac for a few laps, but not fast (not that I expected to be ...).
Any useful hints on rF2 for someone coming from rF1?

Yep I had the same issue alt-tabbing. Running it in borderless windowed mode fixed it for me and I can now Alt-Tab.vandem wrote:Getting somewhere, thanks Bull.

Brands Indy had a significantly higher tyre wear rate than the other tracks we tested - even the RWD cars were struggling to make the distance.kerryland wrote:...because the guys that corner sideways didn't like losing all their tread before the end of the race :-)Bull wrote:Based on testing tonight, we have revised racelengths to 15 minutes per race.

We will review the lengths and drivers feedback after Round 1, and during practise for Round 2

Shorter races are fine by me. They might help me get to bed earlier. I'm normally in bed at 9pm and up around 5am, so Wednesday mornings are a bit hard for me!

Are we running Snetterton next, or Oulton?

Snetterton
EDIT: Appears Oulton is on the server. Can someone test to see if it works? It looks like one person has managed to currently.

Re: NZrFL:42 British Touring Car Championship
Thanks all for turning up.
The final results are loaded on the points site, a big thank you to those who committed to the length of the series.
We also had 3 prizes to award for this series -
Most Improved Driver
Driver Of The Series
And a Random Draw for those who attended over 6+ rounds.
The prizes have been selected, and detailed below:
Most Improved Driver:
Kerry Sainsbury
This selection was pretty well unanimous throughout the admin team. We have watched Kerry turn up to many series and potter away, finishing races and collecting points. Throughout this series he has shown much more than that - he has had genuine pace, genuine results and his racecraft has improved ten fold. He is now someone who is as much of the race pack battle as anyone else. He was unlucky he missed a round, cause he was right in the fight for that tight battle from 3rd to 6th. So well done Kerry, and we hope it continues and we see more great results coming your way.
Driver Of The Series:
Andrew Lowe/Vladimir
There were quite a few contenders for this award, as you could imagine. The admin team let it come down to the final round before making a decision. As a whole, we were impressed with Vlad's performance throughout the series - even picking up a victory. He has always relatively kept it clean, and racing alongside Vlad was always an enjoyable experience - whether being passed by him or overtaking him. Always has a good attitude as well, and is a great companion to race against. Well done Vlad, on your award and also 4th place in the series.
Random Prize Draw:
Seca
For this, we took the eligible admin's out of the draw. Assigned the remaining drivers left a number, and randomly drew the number to correspond with the prizewinner. Seca's number was the one that was pulled out, so thank you for attending every round of this series, and we hope to see you back for the next one!
I also must thank Riven for setting up the server, and putting up with updates, and changes throughout which I gather he doesn't enjoy too much! It is much appreciated. Our series sponsor, Bush Enteprises for the great support and prizes offered throughout the series, and Riftcreator for doing the points site, and of course everyone who turned up and raced throughout the series. We are now moving on to our next series, Flat 6 Porsches which are a great class to race, and I hope to see you all back for another round of racing.
