Race Night

Timeline
8:00PM - Official Practice
8:40PM - Qualifying (10 Minutes)
8:52PM - Top-5 Shootout
8:55PM - Drivers Briefing
9:00PM - Race 1 (20 Minutes)
9:30PM - Race 2 (40 Minutes) - Mandatory pit stop with four tyre changes.

Qualifying
Qualifying will be limited on the server to 4 laps, this means one out lap, two timed laps, and then an in-lap. If you complete more than this, you will automatically be excluded from qualifying and start Race 1 from the back of the grid. Be aware that starting a lap will count as a lap, so if you crash during your first timed lap, you will not be able to return to the pits and go again, (i.e. outlap: 1, crashed: 2, outlap: 3, timed: 4 crossing the line: 5).

Top-5 Shootout
The top 5 qualifiers will participate in the Top-5 Shootout. This is done in the warmup session. The five drivers will each set one timed lap, and the top 5 will be decided based upon that lap time.

Race Grids
Race 1: Grids based off qualifying and shootout results.
Race 2: Grids based off Race 1 results, with the top 8 reversed.

Race Settings
Flag Rules - Black Only
Damage - 50%
Fuel usage - 2X
Tire Usage - 2X

Practice Time - 60mins
Qualifying Time - 10 mins
Race Length - Variable
Type of Start - Standing

Crossing The Finish Line
Please refrain from post-race chat ("congratulations", etc.) until after all competitors have crossed the line.

Please register which livery you would like to race with in the reserved skins thread.

Remember there is a teams championship as well guys - Last season champs "Rubbings Racing" went uncontested to their title, so at least give them some competition this time round!

GP, as is Suzuka too. I've edited the schedule to reflect that now.

I didn't realise these cars had a 5th wheel in the centre of the chassis, raised a bit from the rest of the wheels, that the car uses to 'assist' with turning. Sheesh.

Glad I'm not the only one struggling with the handling characteristics (:
Been a long time since I've sat in the race seat, had to dust it all down!

Gotta be careful. Sometimes that 5th wheel has a nut behind that is a bit loose. Normally cant be tightened - replacement is the recommended repair.

I'll be missing the first round of this unfortunately, as I'll be on my way to Hamilton Island for a "conference". :larf:
Will see you all on the 12th though!

Congrats to Murphy for taking out the league, and congrats to Riven for the runner-up spot. Great that it all came down to the final race and in the end was just 0.2 seconds between first and second place in the league.

Wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who showed up and raced. It was nice to see a new face and some returning faces as well. Hopefully you guys stick around for some more action.

Also, a very big thank you to Riven and to Inspire Net for hosting the server.

Our aim is too have one more league before this year ends, so keep an eye out on the forums.
