Race Night

Timeline
8:00PM - Official Practice
8:40PM - Qualifying (10 Minutes)
8:52PM - Top-5 Shootout
8:55PM - Drivers Briefing
9:00PM - Race 1 (20 Minutes)
9:30PM - Race 2 (40 Minutes) - Mandatory pit stop with four tyre changes.

Qualifying
Qualifying will be limited on the server to 4 laps, this means one out lap, two timed laps, and then an in-lap. If you complete more than this, you will automatically be excluded from qualifying and start Race 1 from the back of the grid. Be aware that starting a lap will count as a lap, so if you crash during your first timed lap, you will not be able to return to the pits and go again, (i.e. outlap: 1, crashed: 2, outlap: 3, timed: 4 crossing the line: 5).

Top-5 Shootout
The top 5 qualifiers will participate in the Top-5 Shootout. This is done in the warmup session. The five drivers will each set one timed lap, and the top 5 will be decided based upon that lap time.

Race Grids
Race 1: Grids based off qualifying and shootout results.
Race 2: Grids based off Race 1 results, with the top 8 reversed.

Flag Rules - Black Only

- When you wish to enter the pits, keep to the low line in turns 3 and 4 to prevent cutting in front of anyone.

I've added a driver note with regards to pitting in:
When you wish to enter the pits, stay to the left of the striped yellow lines (i.e. off the banking) after exiting the bus stop chicane on the back straight. This way you will not need to dangerously cross the track. Please make sure you practice this at least once.
Edit: The note has been amended to the following:
- When you wish to enter the pits, keep to the low line in turns 3 and 4 to prevent cutting in front of anyone.

So we have to be on the appron the whole way round NASCAR 3 and 4? If so I think that's a bit over the top. You can easily get bellow the yellow line after the final turn before you start to slow for the pits.

Hmm, maybe you're right. My thinking was to prevent anyone cutting across someone to enter the pit though, rather than actually getting below the yellow line. I'll modify the note to keep to the low line if you are going to pit in.

That was a bit of fun last night, started to get the hang of the track by the end :)
I tried a new headset last night but couldn't get it to work properly with dischord, so back to the old Logitech.
I was having lots of stutters and game slowdowns, almost like the game went into slomo. Not sure what that was about.
Was I laggy?
Had a nice battle with Len in the first race, and ran most of the second race with no front splitter & default setup.
Had a 50-odd second pitstop due to not changing fuel strategy...

Might actually practice for next week :D

I've got the same issue, yet other mods are fine. I spent over an hour trying to sort it out, but might have to switch back to DX9 and see if that helps.

It was worse for me in R1, along the banked corners and going into T1.
