Crossing The Finish Line
Please refrain from post-race chat ("congratulations", etc.) until after all competitors have crossed the line.

Sign-ups

Be aware that the different cars have different handling characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses. Some cars may be more suited for a particular track, but then others will be more suited to a different track.
You must use the same car for both the Endurance Championship and NZrFL45: Asia Pacific GT3 Championship.
Please register which car and livery you would like to race with in the reserved skins thread to be posted shortly.
Then make sure you sign up at the Points Site, if you need any help you can post here.

Teams
There is a teams championship as well, so grab a team mate and register your team of two on the points site. Teammates do not need to be in the same make of car.

Car Changes
No car changes are permitted in this league.

Drop Round
As this league is spread over a longer period of time than usual leagues, we are allowing each driver to have one drop-round out of the first four. Prior to the fifth and final round starting anyone who has completed all four rounds previously will have their worse result dropped from the points site in the form of a points penalty. This way more drivers will be able to fight for the league title despite real-life commitments.

I can't see anything more in the drop down menu than the previous NZrFL:44 Caterham 7 Classic round?

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Update: DUH - I had the "Historic championships" box ticked. :p Never mind, nothing to see here.

The below settings are now confirmed for this Endurance League.

2X Fuel Usage
2X Tyre Wear

2 X CP's (Compulsory Pitstops) You must stop in the pit box, what you do in that stop is up to you.

Good decision. That works!

A gentle reminder that everyone needs to sign up on the points site in addition to posting in the reserved car thread.

After you've made an account on the points site, click "Drivers" -> "Edit Data" -> "Seasons", then click the edit button on the seasons listed there. Please make sure your name is the exact same as it is in rFactor, and that your car number is correct.

If you need any help doing so feel free to post here.

Thanks.

I've downloaded and installed the Sebring map but I now have this weird issue that I cannot set a timed lap, no matter what I drive practice or qualifying? It's like the game is not registering that I'm crossing the finish line (to begin my hot lap)? Does anyone else have any issues with this on this particular version of Sebring?

I finally managed to fix the issue by starting an offline / AI race (at the back as I couldn't register a time). When I crossed the finish line at the end of lap 1, the timer suddenly jumped to life. From that moment on I could back out of the race and now practice and qualify work again as they should. Pretty bizarre but I'm happy it works now.

I've never encountered that problem in testing. And we have ran this track in a previous league without any issues. Sounds like a weird bug. Glad it's sorted now.

PM Riven with the name you signed up with and he can have a look, my access on there doesn't quite stretch that far.

Here is a link to send him a PM https://www.kiwisimracing.net.nz/forum/ ... mpose&u=15

The GT3 Endurance series now only shows under "Historic races" for me on the KSR Points Site but we still have one more race to go?

Well, it seems I have closed off the season ...... doh!

I don't have sufficient permissions to restore it, only Riven can. I'll flick him a PM.

Sorry for the delay in posting, but here's the link for Spa:

We'll be doing the 1966 version, in which the 24 hours of Spa was won by Jacky Ickx and Hubert Hahne in a BMW 2000ti.

Just a word of warning.. the 1966 Spa track is NOTHING like the Spa we know today!

Image

See both overlayed - the black is the current track and the grey is what we'll be racing instead.

I've been racing the Porsche 917K on the 1966 Spa track and it is absolutely terrifying. This makes our endurance race at the Ring look like a drive around the park. 1966 Spa is held on public roads, so it's narrow and there are absolutely no run-off areas or armco barriers. If you go off you will either hit a wall, a house, a tree or fly off a bank. If you go off, that's your race over - you're dead.

It would be very helpful if we can get the track setup on the server for practice this week? I think this race is going to be absolute carnage :D

Server is now up, big thanks to Riven and Inspire.

Drop rounds have also been applied, and there are technically 8 drivers still with a mathematical chance of taking out the league, not too shabby.
