Points Site / Sign-ups
Sign up at the usual points site http://points.kiwisimracing.net.nz.
Follow the instructions, post back here if it all gets too hard.
Car Numbers:
When signing up to the points site, use the number of the vehicle you've chosen.
http://points.kiwisimracing.net.nz/
Teams:
2 drivers per team
Vehicle choice is open
There is a teams championship as well, so grab a team mate and register your team on the points site.
Crossing The Finish Line.
When crossing the finish line, crashing your car is not acceptable, nor is any Voice Comms chat untill the last person has finished.
Driver's are still racing, and racing for position, and it is unfair to disrupt their racing.
Pull over off the track and Esc.. or drive back to the pits.
League Starts 23rd January 2018.

Awesome!! I've been trying out all the different cars and I equally suck in all of them! Looks like it'll be the Porsche or the Lambo for me, I struggle to get the Merc and the Bentley to corner at all and the others seem very twitchy to me.
Do you guys run with the default setup or do these cars require extensive tinkering to be competitive?
Unfortunately I will miss out on the first round due to a family trip.

Like most leagues most will evolve there setups as the season goes. I tend to do a lot of tinkering myself but I know others don't. What ever car I run I will share my setups.Erik wrote:Awesome!! Re: NZrFL45: Asia Pacific GT3 Championship
I'm probably a dumbass but I've managed to create a team yet I cannot seem to register myself as a driver for the GT3 championship?
Nevermind, I think I have it now. It took a bit of fiddling but I've got it sorted. Anyone else wanting to join the Rookie team?

v1.2 was released of the Simtek GT3 mod today - I assume we are using this latest version? Theyve done some physics tweaks so I would re-test your cars before making a final decision!

Does that mean that we'll see (forced) pit stops during the 20 minute races?

Nope it means everyone can run flatout the entire race.Erik wrote:Does that mean that we'll see (forced) pit stops during the 20 minute races?

Ah okay, I thought that using a 2X Multiplier increased fuel consumption? I must have misunderstood then! Do we need to do anything or is this a server-side setting?

Ah, I had missed that. Hence my confusion as to how going from 1x to 2x would help fuel consumptionBull wrote:The server was set to 3x on practise night so it has been reducedErik wrote:Ah okay, I thought that using a 2X Multiplier increased fuel consumption? Riven got me into this. Getting setup ready for the first race. Might even get in some practice so I don't make an ass of myself :P

Re: NZrFL45: Asia Pacific GT3 Championship
A gentle reminder that everyone needs to sign up on the points site in addition to posting in the reserved car thread.
After you've made an account on the points site, click "Drivers" -> "Edit Data" -> "Seasons", then click the edit button on the seasons listed there. Please make sure your name is the exact same as it is in rFactor, and that your car number is correct.
If you need any help doing so feel free to post here.
Thanks.

I think I should be registered correctly though I couldn't make it to the first race as I'm currently sitting on a farm in the middle of nowhere at the moment. But I should be back for the second round.

Thanks for another great series Mike!! Both the cars and tracks were even more challenging than the previous Caterham championship but a great learning experience all around! Can't wait for the next series!

Actually this series was mostly organized by Murphy. Big thanks to him, and also to Riven and Inspire for server hosting, Rifty for the points, and Matt for grids and such.Erik wrote:Thanks for another great series Mike!! Thanks everyone who showed up, hope to see you all next league.
