The race session will start with in-game time being set to the afternoon.

Qualifying Time - 80 Minutes
Race Length - 72 Minutes
Time Simulation - 1x

Please refrain from post-race chat ("congratulations", etc.) until after all competitors have crossed the line.
Driver Notes
-This is the 24 hour layout, that encompasses all of the Nordschleife, and parts of the Grand Prix circuit.
-This is a long track, and if you haven't raced here before, expect to spend some time learning the track, turning up on race night will probably be insufficient.
-Due to the length of the track, fuel and tyre wear has been set to 1x, and the compulsory stops has been reduced to one. This way the pit window will widen and not everyone would be required to pit on the same lap.
-The race takes place entirely in the day time, so headlights will not be needed.

I'll say, at the moment I'm struggling to get one clean lap down - let alone a fast one. This will be race of last man standing I think!Mike wrote:-This is a long track, and if you haven't raced here before, expect to spend some time learning the track, turning up on race night will probably be insufficient.

Basically its only 1 corner differn't on the full Nordschleife and adds about half the Grand Prix circuit.Riftcreator wrote:This is a real shame, was looking forward to racing the Tourist version.Mike wrote: Driver Notes

Any chance of getting a server up for this?

The server has now been setup.
Big thanks to Riven and to Inspire.net.nz
Also, something I forgot to mention when I put the thread up, you can bypass the Nordschliefe by turning right at the end of the Nurburgring GP circuit at the end, instead of left, then go past the tyre wall chicanes onto the GP start/finish straight. This way your outlap will be significantly faster. This shortcut puts you along the right hand side of the straight too, so no risk to incoming traffic.

I have a school meeting in the evenings so I may be late - I may miss qualifying all together though I was planning to start at the back anyway, as this will be more a race for survival for me anyways.

Re: 2018 Enduro Series: Round 3 Nurburgring - 15/05/18
Yeah, messed up the GP circuit on a flyer, so cut the chicane to come round and start it over again and it counted the time. Whoops.
It is blocked for the race though, and if you find your way around it won't count as a lap, however, it will still count the time if you do it in qualy.
If anyone does do it in quali, I'll take their fastest legitimate lap (one with all 3 sectors) and put them where they should be. Though it would be easier if no one does it, then I won't have to edit grids, and then everyone can easily see where they're at.

Race day.. and I've been sick in bed for the last few days. If all goes well, I'll make it to the grid wrapped in a heated blanket, lurking chicken soup while driving. Not that it'll make any great difference to my race pace here. Looks like I'll be racing against myself (as in keeping it out of the cabbage) rather than the rest of the field!

Following driver feedback, qualy and race will now entirely take place during day time. Although night time driving is very cool, it seems this combo of track and mod is just too hard to see at night.
