EDIT: Was that 1:35.129 set using the High Downforce package on the car?

Really enjoyed last night.

In the sprint, Riven would have probably caught me if it wasn't for the spin, would've been good to have a battle for a couple laps at the end.

The feature I messed up pretty bad, locked up in T1 of lap one, pitted to get the CPS done on lap 2 (and get off my flat spotted tyres), managed to get a speeding penalty, then spent 26 laps on the same set of tyres trying to make up positions. May have had a shot at Mike towards the end, but overcooked it in the 2nd chicane.

Cheers to the guys that came along last night, made for some close enjoyable racing

I’m afraid a bit too close in my case. I accept full responsibility for ending Matt’s race prematurely.
O_o

I was a bit closer than I thought I was - finding my car suddenly surging towards Matt’s gearbox in the
long righter hander after the firsr chicane. My sincere apologies. :(

It certainly wasn't ideal, I felt I had a pretty good long distance setup as far as tyre wear goes and was looking forward to the length of the race. Unfortunately mistakes happen and our unfamiliarity with the Aero effect on these cars caught you by surprise, but hey they say making mistakes is the best way to learn!! Just dont do it again ... :larf: :larf:

I gotta say I was truly surprised with how close the times were in qualifying and the race pace. I think there was less than half a second from 1st to 8th in qualifying, thatd have to be the closest the field has been in a very long time. Race pace was also similar, a lot was more waiting on someone making a mistake, using their tyres too much or using the aero/draft to make places up, but once past it was hard to make a break/gap on the other cars. I was also impressed for the most part with how little crashing there was - all things considered, its our first series in open wheelers and I thought as a whole we had a pretty good night.

Looking forward to the rest of the series, even though I generally dislike open wheelers and have never done well in them they've proven to be a blast to drive and the whole field is competitive - I think we might have some of the closest racing we have had in a long time in this series.

Its a shame we dont have higher numbers, as we had a strong field of 12 start the night last night. Its great seeing some new guys come through, its just a shame some of our senior members have had other commitments that have come in the way of seeing our fields boosted.

KELVIN4TOR sent me the results. But there are errors, some drivers showing raced, but not recorded as finished.

I'll edit/fix them tonight.

Results done.

No errors in these files. Are the results right? right winners per race?
