NZrFL50: Round 1 - Monza
Round 1 of our Flat6 Tour is upon us! We head to Italy to tackle Monza. The track should provide some close door to door action, with it's mix of long fast straights and technical chicanes.
Track: Monza - GP layout.
Please note we are running official practice on the 5th of Feb, it would be appreciated if competitors can take a few minutes and make sure everything is working as it should be. I'm sure people will also help out with lines and setup throughout the night as well.
Schedule (12th Feb):
8:00pm - Official Practice
8:30pm - Qualifying (15 Minute open session - do as many laps as you'd like)
9:00pm (Sharp) - Racing Commences
Format:
Race 1 = 10 Minute Sprint - Grids will be determined by qualifying
Race 2 = 15 Minute Sprint - Grids will be a full reverse grid of Race 1 results (unless requested by racers to come off the back)
Race 3 = 30 minute race with 1 CPS (you must take 4 tires) - Grids will be determined by the finishing order of Race 2
Special Notes for Monza
When exiting the pits in race 3, stick to the right of the pit merge line.
There also a few curbs which you can cut vigorously. I'm not going to police these too much, so boys have at it, but you get a track cut a black flag then you will need to serve that penalty. The sausage rumble strips will do the rest if you cut too much.
This track (specifically the entries to the first 2 chicanes) is prone to massive dive bombs. As again if you feel like you can be aggressive and pull it up to make the turn then all power to you, but if you take someone out doing so we'll need to have a chat.
Along the same lines as above, because those 2 braking zones are extremely hard, defending vigorously (i.e. moving your line after the brakes are applied - especially if it's your 2nd move) will be frowned upon.
If there's any queries about the above, we will have approx 15 minutes between the end of Qualifying to discuss everything, or plug a reply in below or send me a pm.

I'll be on to do some laps tonight.
If others are there i'll role it through so we can have a couple of races.
Will also be available to place pies as requested.

This is the pit entry speed limit line (circled in red)
It is approx 100 metres from the start of the lane itself.
