Round 3 of the Cortina Cup takes is to Thruxton Motorsport Centre!

Another UK circuit with its heritage being formed around an Airway - this time from the RAF of WWII - it is often referred to as Britains fastest racing circuit. This is due to speeds on its long curved back straight, and high average speed around the rest of circuit. While our trust Lotus Cortina may not break any land speed records this week, it will certainly be put to its test and it may be able to lay claim to the highest speed powerslide on British soil
** pending MMJ partaking this week **

Race Night Schedule (NZT):
[20:00] - Official Practise
[20:55] - Drivers Briefing + Grids Drawn
[21:00] - Racing Commences

Race Night Format:
4x 12 Minute heats, drawn by kart/speedway heat format (everyone gets a front/mid/back grid)

Driving Aids:
Traction Control - 0
Anti Lock Brakes - 0
Auto Clutch - Yes
Driving View - Open

What's a good time around this Thruxton place? About to do some practice so I don't suck as bad as that plonker who ended up in the inside of the track fences in race 3 last week..... Think I need to blame my aging G27...... Maybe time to upgrade to a Momo

If you go here you can see the timings for the current track http://r2la.kiwisimracing.net.nz/tracks So far you are not in danger of being lapped before the end of the race :)

G27 is OK for this kind of car, I prefer to drive it softly with small inputs but then others happy to powerslide it all over the place with different styles giving similar times in the end.

Also you can brake pretty hard and have to so your pedals are going to be ok as well.
