A reminder for those who haven't seen this comp running at the moment.
Buy Gillette product, send in receipt to Gillette and if your name is pulled (max of 10 people) you race a V8 against Murphy at Pukekohe. Beat him (yeah right) and keep the car.
drags out V8 mod for some practice . . . .

heh.. couple of things from the fine print.
You must have a valid FULL drivers license
You must be over 18
You must NOT be a professional driver
The track layout will be designed by Greg Murphy on the day.
This last one sounds like it'll be a round the cones job, like a saftey driving course, with the garage of cones, reversing, slalom etc..
So Prom, all your practise will be for naught.

Hehe, I'd still need some practice in a sim, as it drives a bit differently to my electric car
My word, when I had to gas it up yesterday, I was amazed at how expensive petrol has become. 39 litres had gotten me just shy of 770km, including zippin gup around Leigh one weekend. Mustn't grumble.

I would expect they will place cones to create chicanes along the front and back straights to slow the car down before the reach the corners, this will stop people from running a brand new car off the track and into the barrier.
They do the same thing for Dealership test days.
Are they giving away a Commodore? I guess they do have to give them away, only a fool would buy one
