Race 1: - Daytona International Speedway (BR Harcore Version) - Wed 3rd May - DOWNLOAD

Forum Post & Pre Race Discussion Thread

Race Length: 45% - 90 Laps

Truck Setup: Standard Setup

Qualify Rules: Top 2 teams from season 7 NOT ALLOWED to qualify. (DuD & Voda)

Pit Speed: 55 MPH

Pit Exit: You may join the track at the end of the front straight at turn 1 (allowed by game) but this entry is only allowed if you do not interfere with cars approaching down the straight. If an approaching car has to brake hard, swerve exccessively or hits you because of a dangerous track entry you can be protested. If in doubt make your track entry on the back straight after turn 2 or at anytime the track is clear.

Pit Entry: You may enter the pit after turn 4 with care.

Race 2: - Supercell SuperSpeedway - Wed 10th May - DOWNLOAD

Forum Post & Pre Race Discussion Thread

Race Length: 45% - 100 Laps

Truck Setup: Download Custom Setup

Qualify Rules: Current top 8 drivers (points) after Race 1 NOT ALLOWED to qualify.

Pit Speed: 55 MPH

Pit Exit: You may join the track on the back straight after turn 2. Any entry to the track before this point will incur a black flag (given by game).

Pit Entry: You may enter the pit after turn 4 as you come onto the front straight but with extreme care. You are moving off the racing line at the very last second and although there is ample time to brake safely to attain the required pit speed, it is very tight and a lot of practice is required. Once again if a car must brake heavily or swerve excessivly to avoid you or in fact does hit you then you can be protested. If you are unsure or have a big pack behind you that you are aware are not pitting as well then take the safer (and in fact not much slower) pit entry and leave the track off the back straight.

Race 3: - Primal Raceway - Wed 17th May - DOWNLOAD

Race Length: 40% - 117 Laps

Truck Setup: Download Custom Setup

Qualify Rules: Current top 8 drivers (points) after Race 2 NOT ALLOWED to qualify.

Pit Speed: 50 MPH

Pit Exit: Although the game allows entry before turn 1, you are NOT ALLOWED to join the track until the back straight AFTER turn 1 (NOTE: this track has only 2 turns and 2 straights).

Pit Entry: You may only enter the pit before turn 2 at the end of the back straight.

Race 4: - Indianapolis Motor Speedway - Wed 24th May - Standard Track

Forum Post & Pre Race Discussion Thread

Qualify Rules: Current top 8 drivers (points) after Race 3 NOT ALLOWED to qualify.

Pit Speed: 55 MPH

Pit Exit: You are only allowed to exit the pits from the standard exit and is well marked. Any exit before this will incur a black flag (given by game).

Pit Entry: You may only enter the pit at the end of the back straight before turn 3. You may only enter the pit after this point if you are involved in an accident in turn 3 or 4 but must still enter the pit safely taking care not to interfere with cars still racing and also you MUST GIVE WAY to cars entering the pit correctly on your left.

Race 6: - Thunder Bay SuperSpeedway - Wed 7th June - DOWNLOAD

Forum Post & Pre Race Discussion Thread

Race Length: 45% - 100 Laps

Truck Setup: Download Custom Setup

Qualify Rules: Current top 8 drivers (points) after Race 5 NOT ALLOWED to qualify.

Pit Speed: 70 MPH

Pit Exit: You are only allowed to exit the pits from the standard exit on the straight after turn 2 and is marked by a white line on the apron. Any exit before this will incur a black flag (given by game).

Pit Entry: You may enter the pit after turn 4 as you come onto the front straight but with extreme care. You are moving off the racing line at the very last second and there is limited time and traction to brake safely to attain the required pit speed, it is very tight and a lot of practice is required. Once again if a car must brake heavily or swerve excessivly to avoid you or in fact does hit you then you can be protested. If you are unsure you can pit safely on worn tyres remembering that the pit shute is very tricky, then take the safer (and in fact not much slower) pit entry and leave the track off the back straight before turn 4.

Race 7: - Piggzport SuperSpeedway - Wed 21st June - DOWNLOAD

Forum Post & Pre Race Discussion Thread

Race Length: 45% - 90 Laps

Truck Setup: Download Custom Setup

Qualify Rules: Current top 8 drivers (points) after Race 6 NOT ALLOWED to qualify.

Pit Entry: You may enter the pit after the tunnel. This is the only place you can pit and is a very safe entry as long as you keep left and indicate early you are pitting.

Qualify & Race Advice

Post by Inspector » Sat Apr 29, 2006 12:10 pm

In an effort to encourage closer and safer racing we are starting a new scheme this season where senior drivers will offer some advice and drive you through a qualify lap on the server just before each race. As many of you know, Dan Wood was able to offer some advice to his fellow Kiwi team members before the last NZ V's OZ race which resulted in 13 NZ drivers qualifying in the top 20, 7 of those in the top 10!

Whilst some tracks are pretty straight forward it is sometimes that little extra bit of advice that gives you another 1 tenth of a second and can easily take you 5 or 10 spots up the grid and this knowledge can also help during the racing, especially on some of the trickier tracks. Each Wednesday at 9.00pm drivers will be asked to clear the track and keep quiet on TeamSpeak whilst the senior driver offers some advice and takes you for a lap or two round the track pointing out any issues or danger spots to the drivers, how to enter and exit the pit safely but competitively and any advice they have to make the race more competitive and enjoyable for you and safer for all drivers at this track. This should only take around 5 minutes of your practice time and still give you 20 to 25 minutes to get out on the track and try what they have advised. Obviously if you want to get this advice you will need to be in the server at least 30 minutes before qualify. There has also been a new sub-channel made in the Nascar channel on TeamSpeak called "Practice", where all drivers are welcome to go to seek more help during the practice build up to the race. All senior drivers are encouraged to offer help and advice and drivers can ask in the main channel for assistance and then can move to the practice channel where they can talk and drive through a lap or two without the chatter from the main channel.

Any senior drivers who would like to offer their advice during these sessions are asked to PM The Inspector stating which tracks you can help with and I will put together a list of which drivers will be running which sessions. I will also put together a list of drivers who are keen to help but are not running a particular track session and so other drivers know who to ask to help them in the TeamSpeak "Practice" channel.

Driver taking advice session:

Race 1: - Daytona International Speedway: ?

Race 2: - Supercell SuperSpeedway: ?

Race 3: - Primal Raceway: ?

Race 4: - Indianapolis Motor Speedway: ?

Race 5: - Texas Motor Speedway: ?

Race 6: - Thunder Bay SuperSpeedway: ?

Race 7: - Piggzport SuperSpeedway: ?

Race 8: - Daytona International Speedway: ?

Race 9: - Lowe's Motor Speedway: ?

Race 10: - Talladega SuperSpeedway: ?

Drivers to ask for help in the practice channel:
