This is going to be a good couple races!
Love this track, tricky but an absolute blast when you do manage to get it right (actually... much like many of these tracks)
Also i'm now sporting a force-feedback wheel so watchout!! (for me spinning out infront of you)

Krishna, Allah and any other deity willing, I'll be there.

I seem to have sorted out my TS problem (direct sound vs wav sound apparently) and had it running all weekend with no problem. And after pottering around, also had my mp3 recording pgm working too, to record TS chatter.

Might make for an interesting video :D

Well that was a good spot of fun, starting to get a handle on the porsche. I fluffed my both qual laps for the first race, but made up for it with a good start - whats this about the 2nd place car getting the inside line? O_o .

Does anyone know a way of abjusting your mirrors? I could only see roofs behind me - very easy to miss cars.

Anyway, First race was going well until about five laps in when the rears started to go off, it was quite dodgy from that point onwards, especially the final corner, not the place you want to be pilling on the opposite lock D: .

A click of rear downforce and a softened rear anti-roll bar made the car a lot more driveable, and it stayed a lot more consistant through the second race, progressing to a mild understeer as the front left wore down, It was all going well until the second to last corner, on the last lap, where I was blitzkreiged by a trailing stuka, just recoverd to beat hippy by less than .050ish sec. :crash:

What happened tonight riv? :snail:

Cya next week
Brake on the straight before it's too late.

Cool fun guys _b

Managed to get TeamSpeak issues finally resolved - there seemed to be less chatting and passing communication ? Or was that just my imagination. Mind you, some people just couldn't seem to shut up :rolleyes:

Anyhoo, a quick video has been made, just trying to get it uploaded at the mo . . . and you'll see what I mean ;)

Ahh good fun, I still have no idea as to whether this new ffb wheel is working as it should be or not.. if things go a tad pear shaped there is nothing I can do to recover it.
The first race was a shocker for me, just trying to 'stay alive' on the first lap cost me about 10 places.. and from there I had spins galore.
Thankfully managed to hold it together for the second race and and the wheel decided I could keep the bones in my wrists in whole pieces :p

It took me a while to work the mirrors out as well as I could only see the road.

1) You can adjust the in car one's by using Shift and whatever key you have setup for adjusting the seat. I.e if the seat up is X then mirror up is Shift X

2) In the player file there is an entry for virtual mirrors, the same type as GTR,
You can switch on either main, side or both, by entering 1,2 or 3.
There is a line for entry for cockpit which is by default 0.

Great video once again Prom, unfortunately UnbounD and I feature a few times. Interestingly enough we spent most of race 2 close by as well.

As you can see Ubound I was inside you on that first incident but it looks like I was in the wrong on the second, I didn't realise you were up quite so far and shouldn't have turned in, my apologies. In fact I would have been much better off to let you go because I suspect in the proccess of out braking me you might have left it a bit late and over shot the corner anyway?

By the looks of the video Riven and Famin had a bit of fun on that same corner but at least I turned for the corner on the normal racing line........

Well done to Dan on his wins, looks like we will all be soon moving one place further back in the standings.......

Looking forward to next week. :hdriver:

No problems at all Inspector. I didnt know you were even there on the first one, thats why I got a fright when the car lurched forward. The second was a risky move that kinda had to be done, but at least I came off worse than you did so I dont feel too bad.

Was fun!!

I think there is a slight glitch in the scoring system. Race 1 apparently I led for 8 laps, I wish someone had told all the cars in front of me so they would have pulled over and let me pass......

I also see that Mattman managed to lead for 4 laps in race 2?

Woohoo up to 12th!
Is it possible to see the scoring system used?
Just want to see at which position (if any) the points really start to drop off etc

Oh and Prom - excellent video man, truly enjoyed it (mainly because its the first video which doesn't show me spinning off about five times)
Loved the overlayed speech :larf:

Same here. Also - are you giving last place points (or something similar) for those who cannot attend a race due to work/other short notice committments? (I missed the Brands Hatch race and have only just noticed that my points did not change).

Cheers.

Points start at 93 and cycle down in 3 point incriments.

No show, no points.
With 35 ppl signed, its just not worth it.

No show, no points!

If you show and get dumped or whatever, the game will give your position and points will be automatically generated.

No show, no points!

Yes it seems the server generates some spurious results sometimes but the finishing and qual results seem to be accurate so don't get your petti coat in too much of a twist inspector.

If u need a quick reference to see what position gets what points, then the points list is like so:

$racepoints[0] = 93;
$racepoints[1] = 90;
$racepoints[2] = 87;
$racepoints[3] = 81;
$racepoints[4] = 75;
$racepoints[5] = 72;
$racepoints[6] = 69;
$racepoints[7] = 66;
$racepoints[8] = 63;
$racepoints[9] = 60;
$racepoints[10] = 57;
$racepoints[11] = 54;
$racepoints[12] = 51;
$racepoints[13] = 48;
$racepoints[14] = 45;
$racepoints[15] = 42;
$racepoints[16] = 39;
$racepoints[17] = 36;
$racepoints[18] = 33;
$racepoints[19] = 30;
$racepoints[20] = 27;
$racepoints[21] = 24;
$racepoints[22] = 21;
$racepoints[23] = 18;
$racepoints[24] = 15;
$racepoints[25] = 12;
$racepoints[26] = 9;
$racepoints[27] = 6;
$racepoints[28] = 3;
$racepoints[29] = 0;

Did I tell u I got ripped in the first race from a disconnect? ;p
