NZ Rfactor League 2 (NZrFL2) Anouncement

Post by Viking » Mon Jun 19, 2006 8:29 pm

Welcome to the next evolution of the NZ rFactor league.
Now that you've gotten a handle on the tail-happy Porsches we're going to change to a different mod.

The 2nd installment of this league will be run using the ProtoRacer Championship 1.1 mod with the Demon car addon.

Rulz and schedule to follow.

Get the mod here: http://www.realracin.net/wgtlmods/Franc ... p-v1-1.exe
Demon addon here: http://www.teamrfactor.com/cars/go.php? ... oRacer.exe

Proton Template: http://www.realracin.net/wgtlmods/Franc ... e-1024.zip or http://www.realracin.net/wgtlmods/Franc ... e-2048.zip
Demon Template: http://rfactorracing.yusho.de/index.php ... fileid=304

Please post local mirrors if they become available.

More to follow – watch this space.

The proto's should throw up some good racing, having two cars that have different strengths while turning similar lap times _b

You can always blame the car :wheelchair:
Brake on the straight before it's too late.

Ain't downforce great, till it all goes wrong. :D

They are slideable, and saveable, once ya get used to them. Gotta be quick to catch them tho.

Yes I think this is a great choice for the next series. Personnally I like the fact that a default setup will still be compeditive. I think we have a number of drivers in Nascar that dont have the time or inclination to learn about setups (me) and still enjoy a race. These cars look to be alot easier to get a handle on than the porsches. Perhaps if you get a good response to this league you might also consider having a teams championship. Team racing encourages drivers to show up and perform just like in Nascar. _b
