mmm, others were thinking take the top 20 from the last league, it's the drivers that have participated the most and done the best
Only problem there is someone like Jetboy is 21st , very close to 20th and if his connection didn't have issues he would have been up past 20th, but there is bound to be someone in the top 20 that can't turn up

I agree. This would also encourage people to complete a season as they would want to make the top twenty.
On a side note and abit OT.
Snake Wogers has just recieved his NEW 6800 GT videocard and at this moment is working up a tummy ache so he can go home and install it for tonights race. Nice one Snakey.

I say last seasons top 20 instantly qualify, and then pick some people from the rest who we know can handle it, but may not have finished top 20 due to missing races etc. ie Riven finished 40 something, but he would be welcome on the team, as well as Jetboy and some others. We can also look at how the race went last time while choosing the extra drivers.

I would like to race this time since I totally missed out last race. If I get to race I would like to have #910 if it isn't already taken. I don't agree with the top 20 from last season getting in automatic b/c a lot of people had bad race incidents that hurt them in the points for the season but they are still good racers that could be considered. But I say leave it up to a committee.

yus and given it was about the team and not about individual placings I don't think that would be fair, and if we do that, then whats going to happen in the next race ?
Everyone will drive for themselves and not the team

If it helps I put my hand up and say my spot on the team is open for another, better driver if desired, for the good of the team.
I scraped in last time and was stoked just to be part of it, I didn't have a great race but fun though.
Whatever the committee decides is fine with me.

Nah, I'm just bored at work, either it's madness city or quiet times. Currently more of the latter than the former.

G'day guys,
The ASRG has recently in the last few days moved to a brand new server and host in order to provide the best possible environment to run the next Australia versus New Zealand Truck Race. Whilst this wasn't the only reason for the move to a new server/host it was definately required for this style of event with 40 drivers.
However because of this we need to push the race back one week to the 14th of May to give us time to configure and test everything for this event. I'm proposing that we use the 7th as a practise race and connection test for you guys same as last time.
I appologise for any inconvienence caused by this late development, however I'm confidient that the race will be a much better one (and fairer for all) on a brand new server and host. Hopefully everybody who has already signed up for Team Kiwi can make the race on the 14th. This deal effects both teams, so hopefully you guys understand why we need the extra week to sort it...
Practise Race /Connect Test for new server : Saturday 7th of May
Race 2 - Aus v NZ Truck Test Race : Saturday 14th of May
Time: Qual starts OZ 7:30 - NZ 9:30 start
Track: Daytona BR Hardcore (day)
Host: ASRG (direct connect - ip to follow shortly)
Laps: 50% same as last time.
No Damage, No yellows.
Setup, probably fixed_fast from Tally (I'm open to ideas!)
No passing below the yellow
No special pit in/out rules (as per first race but without the chaos please!)
If you have any questions please let me know!
Cheers,
George.
