Drivers Under Investigation: Daytona BR

Famin
Happy
Inspector

Results:
#46 Famin against #567 Happy
Reason: driver attitude in forums
Verdict: Not Guilty
#444 Inspector against #46 Famin
Reason: moving up the track disrupting the draft of cars on the high line
Verdict: Not Guilty
Warning issued: please drive courteously, you should always join on the back of drafts instead of trying to squeeze your car in when you are driving on your own and a line of 4+ cars comes up from well behind you
#456 Happy against #46 Famin
7-11
Reason: vigarous blocking causes an accident further back because of drivers having to check up because of being cut off
Verdict: Guilty - 32
There is blocking, and then there is suddenly moving your car over to cut another driver off, when you do this the driver be hind you has to put the anchors on, what happens to drivers 4 or 5 cars back ? the concertina effect leaves those drivers no time to react and a pileup is caused.
Always be aware of cars behind you

#456 Happy against #46 Famin
lap 14
Reason: Car does not hold grove, car squeezes the bottom cars in the low line by using exactly the same grove as them instead of his own.
Verdict: Guilty - 27
There are groves on the track in Nascar, mostly obviously seperated by white painted lines, these are dotted. if there is a car on the low grove beneath you, you should keep in the high grove, if you try to fit two cars in one grove you WILL cause an accident

#456 Happy against #46 Famin
Lap 18/19
Reason: Car moves up way too late and suddnely, car does not hold line, forces Happy into the wall.
Verdict: Guilty - 33
It is always in a drivers best interest to join the back of a draft coming from behind, you should always hold your line when the cars behind approach, do not wait until the approaching cars are right on your bumper and then change your line hoping they will react in time
Mikool against #444 Inspector
Reason: Inspector disconnected during the race but did not recieve last place points
Verdict: Not Guilty

The rules do not state that a driver who disconnects themselves during the race gets last place points.

The committee had a discussion about people who disconnect during the race on purpose and decided if someone feels they need to disconnect for whatever reason, then why penalise them.
-NZ Nascar League committee
protest results are final and no discussions will be entered into

Drivers Under Investigation: Michigan BR

Inspector
LiveM
Flyboy vs LiveM @ 26:21
Reason: LiveM rear ends flyboy
Verdict: GUILTY (3 to 1)
penalty: 15 points (minimum penalty)

This was a tricky desicion, M did brake, but it was not adequate enough braking, M put the power on straight away again as soon as he clipped the back of flyboy, always be on your toes you should always be expecting drivers infront to do something unexpected, while backend collisions will always occur and are very frequent, the committee feels that M could have done more than what he did to avoid this one.
Live M vs Inspector
Reason: Inspector performs a dodgy pit entry
Verdict: GUILTY (4 to 0)
Penalty: 15 points (minimum penalty)

Inspector left it a wee tad too late to comit to pit lane, and was not prepared for another car to be slowing down for the pits, the passing of that car entering the pits was dangerous and could have ended up in tears for both drivers, this cost M time on the track (be it very little time) but we are encouraging safe pit entry.

Drivers Under Investigation: Kansas

Dwood
Big Al vs Wood
Reason: Dangerous late pit entry from DWood causes Big al to have to slow down.
Verdict GUILTY (-6 pts)
Safe pit entries please, move over to the left as early as you can
Flyboy69 vs Wood
Reason: Wood hits Flyboy in turn 4 after failing to hold his line
Verdict GUILTY (-12 pts)
The general consensus was that Wood did not hit Fly due to careless driving but the committee felt that Wood should have been aware that Fly was somewhere on his right given that Fly never appeared in the rear view mirror of Wood after being clearly visible ahead a few corners earlier.

Drivers Under Investigation: Indianapolis

Famin
Mikool
Murphys Law
Daniel Wood
Riven
Scott
Famin vs Mikool
Reason: Mikool failed to brake and rammed
Verdict: replay length not long enough

famin vs Murphys Law
Reason: Famin holds line and Murphy clips him spinning him out
Verdict: replay length not long enough

famin vs Daniel Wood
Reason: Famin holds his line, wood grows impatient and passes taking him out
Verdict: replay length not long enough

famin vs Riven
Reason: Famin holds line and riven makes a pass on the inside taking out famin
Verdict: replay length not long enough

Note from committee:
Replays must be similar to the length specified in the rules, the judges need at least a lap or two to work out if anything went on prior to the incident so an informed desicion can be made.
Riven vs famin
Reason: Famin turns down on riven as riven makes a pass on famin
Verdict: -12pts
Riven had begun to make the pass and was on the inside at this point Famin should not have turned in as much as he did.
Flyboy69 vs Scott
Reason: Scott didn't slow enough for the corner, and came up from under the yellow line hitting Flyboy
Verdict: Submission too late - past the deadline
TheBoldOne vs Murphys Law
Reason: Murphy drove into the back of Bold
Verdict: Submission too late - past the deadline

Drivers Under Investigation: Chicagoland

Ian
Murphys Law
Flyboy69
Skuzzlebutt
Major Havoc
madmarty
Skelo
Mattly vs Murphys Law @ 25.22 mins
Result: Guilty -12pts
You cannot force yourself under other cars expecting to get through, pick your moment to make a pass carefuly.
Wideload vs Ian @ 38 mins
Result: Not Guilty
Ian went under the white line because he feared Wideload would come off the wall back into him. After that Ian thought wideload was further back and went to the hight line, in Hindsight Ian should have checked the mirror and knowing that wideload had not been seen in the mirror prior to the corner, it could be concluded that he was most likely somewhere to the right and Ian perhaps could have remained on the low line
Wideload vs Flyboy69 @ 48 mins
Result: Guilty -12pts
Flyboy didn't seem to make any attempt to wait for the track to clear, always put your brakes on after an accident if you are up high on the track and wait for it to clear first before moving down onto the racing line
Wideload vs Murphys Law @ 56 mins
Result: Guilty -17pts
Murphy needs to slow down into corners when there are other cars ahead and around also entering the corner, you can't expect to force your way in and that everyone will yeild for you
Riven vs Skuzzlebutt @ 55:51 mins
Result: Not Guilty
It was deemed that Skuzzlebutt couldn't really do alot to avoid this one, he should however have kept on the brake when up high and not inched forward hinting that he might drive down the track
Redvaliant vs Ian @ 50:30 mins
Result: Guilty -11pts
Ian was travelling much to fast into the corners, you must go carefuly into the corners always expecting to have to slow for the car infront
Redvaliant vs Murphys Law @ 24:05 mins
Result: Guilty -19pts
Again much too fast into the corners, slow down.
Bold vs Major Havoc @ 10 seconds
Result: Guilty -20pts
While you did a good job avoiding the car infront that slowed by going high into the middle of the two lanes, you should have backed off and not expected the train to gain momentum so rapidly, on the starts anything can happen so best not to put the foot too far down, bolds race was severly ruined by this one, please think about other drivers on the track
Prom vs Murphys Law @ 57:00
Result:
This incident was also submited by Wideload (@ 56 mins) and has been voted on, see that one for the result
Wideload vs Madmarty @ 24 mins
Result: Not Guilty
Madmarty allowed enough room for other cars to go around, the car that collided with him could have gone either side, in saying this, drivers need to use their mirrors and check for cars coming up from behind after incidents and if possible, remain off the racing line.
Wideload vs Skello @ 18:50
Result: Guilty -10pts
While you did allow wideload room Skelo, you unfortunately hit the apron and went in too deep probably because of tire wear, you must always be aware of how worn your tires are and how fast you can go into a corner on both the high, and the low line
Skelo vs Chequres @ lap18
Result:
pending discussion altough may written off as Chequers has left the league
Skelo vs Murphys Law @ lap114
Result:
pending discussion

Drivers Under Investigation - Supercell

Madmarty - Lap 44 - Time 30:05
Flyboy - Lap 55 - Time 37:19
MikeMoore - Lap 57 - Time 39:05
Chequers - Lap 184 - Time 2:04:16
Gareth Robinson - Lap 65 - Time 45:20
Big Al - Lap 1 - Time 0:10
Mattly - Lap 22- Time 15:10

Riven vs Mad Marty
Reason: exiting pit stall unsafely
Result: Guilty -14pts
The rules clearly state to check when you leave pits. You should always first leave the pits by moving to the left side of pit road, and if all is clear, then move to the right of pit road. It is up to the exiting drivers to ensure no contact is made with other cars when leaving their pit stall.
Riven vs Flyboy
Reason: Did not slow enough for an incident
Result: Guilty -14pts
Always expect a driver infront of you to slow for accidents, if you see an accident you should at least be easing off and expect the unexpected, just because you may expect the other driver not to slow, doesn't mean they won't
Riven vs Mike Moore
Reason: Mike Moore moves down onto Riven entering the back straight
Result: NOT GUILTY
This incident was not serious enough to warrant a penalty, however the committee cautions Mike Moore to be careful entering the straights, if a car is behind you and moving up on your left, then there is a good chance they will be bang on your side down the back straight.
Draco Vs Chequers
Reason: Entering the Tri-oval, chequers moves over too far (after coming off the grass) and hits Draco
Result: Guilty -13pts
While this may have been a tight situation, Chequers did infact come off the grass OK, but chequers moved over too far (across the first lane into the second lane) taking out Draco.
Wide Load vs Gareth Robinson
Reason: Wide load slows for incident on Tri-Oval, and Ronbinson rear ends him
Result: Guilty -23pts
Smoke could easily be seen coming round the 3rd and 4th corner from Gareths car, this should have been a good heads up that trouble was coming. You must slow for incidents and if you are going too fast you should at least pick another line instead of going straight into the cars in front.
Skelo vs Big Al
Reason: Big Al looses it at the start and rips Skelo a new one
Result: Guilty -22pts
Big Al it almost looks as though you did not do enough practice and had not practiced holding a low line all the way through t1 and t2, You lost control of your car and caused a rather decent accident, not just to Skelo.
Jay vs Mattly
Reason: Mattly hits Eagle into Jay on pit entry
Result: Guilty -12pts
It is up to drivers entering pits to slow in time for other cars entering the pits, A choice of Late pit entry (off T4) was not a good idea and left you little time to react to the slow cars in front of you.
Flyboy vs Big Al
Same protest as Skelo vs Big Al above
Flyboy vs Mike Moore
Reason: Mike moore does not hold his line through T1 and collides with Flyboy
Result: Guilty -11pts
A tight vote this one, Moore perhaps went in too aggresively and was moving around a bit through the corner, moved off the bottom lane and hit Fly. Flyboy also could have remained higher than he did and avoided this incident all together.
Flyboy vs Viking
Reason: Viking tries to cut up the inside of Flyboy on the tri oval entry
Result: Guilty -11pts
While it looked to viking like fly had moved to go on the outside and perhaps let Viking through, this was not the case and Viking did not have enough position on Flyboy to claim the line into the tri Oval. This is a dodgy place to pass and you should not expect to get the inside of someone and for them to move over.
Flyboy vs Chequers
Reason: Chequers rear ends Arran
Result: Guilty -15pts
You should always expect the car infront to slow down, especialy when there are many cars around you and things are looking tight, and when the cars infront do slow down, you need to react quicker chequers, Arran did not slow down that suddenly

Drivers Under Investigation: Riki Speedway

Murphy's Law @ 43:46
Mad Marty @ 36:32
Happy v Murphys Law
Reason:Murphy fails to slow down for an accident and causes hippy some grief
Verdict GUILTY -5pts
It wasn't a severe accident, but none the less you really need to be more careful around accident areas and be aware that your going fast could cause someone else who goes through an accident carefuly, a ruined race.
Flyboy69 v Mad Marty
Reason:Mad Marty drifts up into flyboy in turn 1-2
Verdict NOT GUILTY
Mad marty was being cautions for an accident and flyboy chose to take that oportunity to pass.

Drivers Under Investigation: Homestead

Typhoon @ 25:56
Murphy's Law @ 35:5

(appologies for no notification to Typhoon and Murphys Law, but she's all academic anyways as the results below will tell)
Jay v Typhoon
Reason:Typhoon hits Jay up the rear out of the corner after Jay hits the wall
Verdict NOT GUILTY
Jays car hitting the wall mean typhoon had to react quickly, weather he reacted quickly or not - he certainly lost control of his car (that was the left-right bit) and hit you as a result
Jay vs Murphys Law
Reason:Murphy comes down on Jay going around a corner
Verdict NOT GUILTY
This was clearly a lag incident, you can see Murphys car jumping from the top of the track to the bottom where Jay was, a driver cannot be penalised on an incident caused by lag.

Drivers Under Investigation: Zenjoltis

Prometheus @ 4:25
Snake Rogers @ 30:26
Typhoon @ 8:05
Biteme @ 1:05
Flyboy vs Prometheus
Reason: prom clips flyboy while going round a corner where fly is on the outside and prom on the inside.
verdict: NOT GUILTY
it was deemed that enough space was not left for prom on the inside considering this is online racing and peripheral vision is pants (more room should have been made for prom.
Flyboy vs Snake Rogers
Reason: Snake pulls out of the pits and roots Flys pit.
verdict: -10 pts
Onus is on the driver exiting their pit box to be sure there are no cars immediately in the way
BAZZIL vs Typhoon
Reason: Typhoon is drafting far too close in the corners, inevitebly the pack slows and typhoon hits Bazzil up the backside
verdict:-13 pts
Be sure you draft at a managable distance depending on the size of the draft you are in, obviously if there are more cars you need to distance yourself a little more as a slight slow up from a driver infront could spell disaster
BAZZIL vs Biteme
Reason: Biteme chops from the top onto the train on the bottom when there was clearly a car low.
verdict: -11 pts
make sure you check the inside line before you move into it, just because the car infront of you has gone down there, doesn't mean you can follow.
Light comment for Angus It is good courtesey to move out of the way of trains behind you which have drivers fighting for position, your car being in the way contributed to the incident altough the drivers going around you should have been able to manage to get around you

Drivers Under Investigation: California

Bite-Me @ 12:16
Jay Jordan @ 1:20:04
Bold vs Bite-Me
Reason: Biteme rear ends bold on the corner
Verdict: Guilty - 17pts
On ya toes more plz Biteme ! Plenty of time to avoid the back of bold there was
Bold vs Jay
Reason: Jay clips another car sending it into Bold
Verdict: Guilty -17pts
You were in no position to put a pass on the car infront, the car infront was always going to turn in and you did not have your car up the side, Bold got rather ripped on this as a result
