Sim TV and NZ Nascar Race1 coverage
...is finally up.
Went a bit mental on this one and couldn't throw footage away. She came in a massive 8'30" , so next week will definetly be a slimmer version.
I've encoded it at a lower 1mbps rate, so there's a touch pixelation, but the file size still comes to @62mb.
Available at simracerhq.co.nz movies section, a higher res version is available when I get off my bum and upload it.
Oh and I win the most impressive crash award too

Ahh, I see. Looks like Movie Maker, which I use for the final web encoding, has calculated the duration wrong.Wood wrote:Up to the usual excellent standards prom,
You wouldn't want to go any lower with the encoding though and there is about 20sec of nothing tacked on the end
There'll be a corrected version available for downloading soon.
This video is encoded at 1mbps, came to @63mb in size. A 2mbps came to 130mb, which I thought was getting at the high end of being a bit bloated ! Next race will be smaller, as I won't need to do all qual and all results. Just the top 10 get in, maybe 15.

i think the length and size of the file is fine.Prometheus wrote:Ahh, I see. Looks like Movie Maker, which I use for the final web encoding, has calculated the duration wrong.Wood wrote:Up to the usual excellent standards prom,

My clever plan for the graphics is that everyone has their own template with driver name, etc.TonyG wrote:Excellent job Prom, those graphics must take ages to do, great mix of racing and crashes, top marks
Each week, I'll simply load up in order as required, put the correct position number in and bingo.
Biggest challenge I had was that some drivers have registered under one name at simracerhq (I used this list to begin the gfx), raced under a different name and number (used the analysis report for confirming qual and results) and post under a different name here !
Talk about confusing !

Much like this example? Looks like a case of bury the boot and close your eyes........ How not to lift off when you see an accident
