Just remember if you were hard done by then consult the driver involved and if need be, submit a protest (info in the main nascar thread stickied in the forum)

We will be enforcing penalties in a bid to further improve the driving.

Ah you must have watched the replay too. I figured that comment might
have the Westies jumping to defend themselves. ;p

In defense of Doug here, he did the correct thing. He knew there were cars coming and instead of trying to get out of the way and making the leader (me) guess which why he was going, he allowed the leaders to pick a line themselves. I picked the wrong line. I have no heart aches. I chose the wrong line.

If Doug would have tried to get out of the way, who would drivers complaining too.

Again, he did the best thing he coudl have done in that situation.

Well Done Monsters _b
I had an uneventfull race and it was gonna be a Monsters 2-3 BUT then I was ripped from behind by someone a few laps down hmmmmmmmmm, oh well it happens .
:(

Must make a comment on drivers who are NOT racing for position holding up drivers who ARE.
After I was ripped, I was having a good tussle with Bold for 4th or 5th, in front was 15th racing 23rd and zigging all over the track, I tried to pass but was deliberately blocked for several laps, 15th eventually took out 23rd who took out Bold, stupid really...................does anyone read the rules?
Protests will be accepted for "late race" intentional blocking of cars you are not racing for position. (i.e. blocking to aid team members or racing against cars which are not for effective position) Race and situational awareness are a vital part of racing and this is especially important in the closing stages of a race. You are expected to be aware (especially in the latter part of the race) of the cars around you and how to behave in these situations. For example,it is good race etiquette to get out of the way of cars racing each other for position even when they are a lap or two down on you, but if you are racing someone and other cars are between you (but a lap down) and also racing each other, do not expect right of passage.
My bold

Again, I think everyone should be aware of the rules

Is it me a Pat L you are referring to? I think bold was behind me for the closing laps until Pat passed him. I decided to keep Pat behind me as he was a few laps down to use him to draught to the next group whom we caught with 2 laps to go. We all got through that group, not sure if they were for position as I had no time to check. On the last lap I squeezed Pat (unknowingly) below the line and he elected to hold there. Obviously when we got to the corner it all went tits up, just a racing incident in my opinion after having watched the replay.
I wonder if Pats ears were burning at the time though. ;p

Cool screen shot, you can see the amount of reaction time some of us had (or did not have) to pick out way through.

Pretty sure it was RedValiant who ripped Tony G from 3rd place. (will retract if the video evidence proves otherwise).

Yep, I'd caught the group and passed Bold, and of course he wanted to get back past me again, obviously P.Lynch didn't want to stay behind you and that's why he was all over the track...............I think the key words from my post are "situational awareness" :) This was only 5 laps from the end or so!
