This bit will be added to Section 4
This line will be removedShould a driver manually disconnect during a race and subsequently not rejoin, he shall be regarded as retired and the game shall award his points re laps completed. The organisers regard manual disconnection as a last resort if the driver finds he is e.g. lagging to an extent that he is a danger to other drivers, his driving is affected by anger or other distractions and his continuation would also be dangerous to other drivers.
There used to be a manual disconnect rule many moons ago that penalised a manually disconnecting driver and he recieved no points, this was to stop drivers who just weren't doing well disconnecting and disrupting the whole race, the league has outgrown such behaviour and will allow manual disconnects where the driver feels he will ruin the other drivers' race by continuingAll non finishers (DNF) score points of position after last place.
So, all retirees, engine failures etc will score points re the number of laps completed (NR2003 does this automatically)
