That rule is there so that people who have major events in their lives (ie Child Birth, Marriage, etc.) that can't be interupted for a game aren't penalised for it. Going to a cricket game is hardly a once in a life time event (alright child birth isn't and for some people marriage isn't but you can't exactly not show up for them and be allowed to continue breathing :)).

Liquid made the choice that the cricket game and getting pissed was his prefered activity for the day. That's cool but I don't see how you can say that's on the same level as the aforementioned things. Hell I probably would have chosen cricket but I wouldn't be expecting to get any points.

It doesn't have anything to do with giving notice that you won't be racing. It's about the reason for not racing being a reasonable reason not "I wanted to drink myself stupid at the cricket".

I would also hazard a guess that that rule was included after Odie was unable to attend a race last season due to his child being born. It's unreasonable and just plain rude to assume that it's been included as a get out of jail free card for one of the people that has committed there time to helping run the league. q-
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

Liquid let us know a couple of weeks before the first round that he had been given a ticket to the cricket and would not be racing as he would be drunk as a skunk. He was being responsible. :Puke:
As to the rules stating that marriage is a valid excuse, i can only ask if that rule was premiditated to allow one of the race comittee special
leeway? O_o

Can the comittee clarify exactly what is considered reasonable warning?

okay, i was trying to get the team some extra points and annoy Snake. I'm going to his wedding, so i wasn't having a real winge. ;)

You are all correct and Team Scrumpy withdraws it's protest and goes off to drown it's sorrows.

Watchout for us at Texas, we got points to make up.

Lol, use smilies to communicate. I gets less confused :p Smilies should be added to the Oxford English dictionary and made part of gramatically correct sentences. Screw full stops all sentences should end with a smilie :) Damn crazy N.Islanders make no sense to me at all!

I spoke to the SimTV lawyers and they reckon the committee's use of i.e. instead of e.g. means the rules define having a baby as working late and getting married as going out partying. Therefore according to the rules no points should be awarded. :D

No that doesn't take very long at all, you just put a few faces in, and then copy them, then hold down ctrl-v and it puts lots in, like this : :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

A quick comment on pit entry, in the past there have been a few close calls and prangs from drivers entering the pits too late.

I believe the pits should be entered
1. By giving warning to following trucks

2. By slowing and going BELOW the racing line before turn 3, i.e entering turn 3 on the apron at a reduced speed and then safely entering pits.

What often happens is trucks try to save time by making a last minute dash in about halfway around turn 3/4, spinning and taking someone out or being taken out because they slowed while still on the racing line.

Do the organisers have a reccomendation or ruling for pit entry on this track?
Most similar sized tracks are the same e.g Atlanta?

I vote for the decapitation of anyone trying to make a pit entry in turn 3/4 :D
