That rule is there so that people who have major events in their lives (ie Child Birth, Marriage, etc.) that can't be interupted for a game aren't penalised for it. Going to a cricket game is hardly a once in a life time event (alright child birth isn't and for some people marriage isn't but you can't exactly not show up for them and be allowed to continue breathing ).
Liquid made the choice that the cricket game and getting pissed was his prefered activity for the day. That's cool but I don't see how you can say that's on the same level as the aforementioned things. Hell I probably would have chosen cricket but I wouldn't be expecting to get any points.
It doesn't have anything to do with giving notice that you won't be racing. It's about the reason for not racing being a reasonable reason not "I wanted to drink myself stupid at the cricket".
I would also hazard a guess that that rule was included after Odie was unable to attend a race last season due to his child being born. It's unreasonable and just plain rude to assume that it's been included as a get out of jail free card for one of the people that has committed there time to helping run the league.

Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

A nice summing up thank you Eagle and bang on the money in all counts.

lol ya sackMattly wrote:Liquid let us know a couple of weeks before the first round that he had been given a ticket to the cricket and would not be racing as he would be drunk as a skunk. He was being responsible.Inspector wrote:
Why did Liquid miss a race Mattly? If he has a valid reason it will b considered, but normally you would notify in advance as Snake has done.
*Organisers reserve the right to award points of position after last place to any driver unable to compete with legitimate reason (i.e. child birth or marriage – working late or going out partying does not qualify for points)
As to the rules stating that marriage is a valid excuse, i can only ask if that rule was premiditated to allow one of the race comittee special
leeway?
Can the comittee clarify exactly what is considered reasonable warning?

A quick comment on pit entry, in the past there have been a few close calls and prangs from drivers entering the pits too late.
I believe the pits should be entered
1. By giving warning to following trucks
2. By slowing and going BELOW the racing line before turn 3, i.e entering turn 3 on the apron at a reduced speed and then safely entering pits.
What often happens is trucks try to save time by making a last minute dash in about halfway around turn 3/4, spinning and taking someone out or being taken out because they slowed while still on the racing line.
Do the organisers have a reccomendation or ruling for pit entry on this track?
Most similar sized tracks are the same e.g Atlanta?
