GTR Stress test tuesday 24/5/05

We are willing to organise a league for GTR very soon.

In light of this and with utmost prudence Monza has suggested another stress test before we commit to actual dates and rules.

Fair enough.

But it has to be a PROPER stress test! We need AT LEAST 20 drivers on track.
Next tuesday seems to be an acceptable time.

Please use this thread to just register your intention of turning up on the night. Unless convinced forceably otherwise I would like to see it run as an NGT race only (free cars ) with standing start.
Perhaps riven can PM me to confirm that is OK?

I'll be a starter and theres another guy at work that should be keen. Also keen for the league.

Question - does the GTR live view web page tell you who is logged onto the server? Would be a quicker way to see if anyone is on, rather than having to launch the game itself, log in etc.

Is the server always up - sometimes when I go to log in (in game) it says No Games available -using the multiplayer direct option

Yes the live stats show you whos on, and even their fastest lap.

The server is 24/7, you have to "add address/ip" each time you go into the multi/direct ip section.

Well i add ip address and most of the time no games found? Do I have to type it in each time? as it comes up with the IP address which is correct. Is it OK to have Zone Alarm running

zone alarm is fine as long as GTR is an allowed program.

and yes the IP will be saved but you still have to use the simbin login to get to the server.

most just be a glitch then - just did some direct ip racing with a friend hosting and same issue a couple of times before it found the server...
