Nascar CTS League - Race 6 California Speedway
Welcome to the California Speedway
Race 6 emerges as one of the most crucial races of the season as drivers realise that not only have we hit the halfway mark, but the results of this one race may be the deciding factor for the reserves battling for a spot in the New Zealand team for the test against Australia on Saturday night.
After the pieces were picked up from the Hillside battlefield and the wounded limped home to count their points losses and the survivors counted their winnings, all drivers need to now take a stock of not only their own progress in the series, but the progress of those in that much sort after top ten spots. All season long the call has been out to drive with caution, consistancy and consideration for other competitors and although many have taken heed, some have not. Hopefully a few penalties will see some changed attitudes this week at California and all drivers will be able to put the past behind them and focus on the points chase as we go into this race and after that it is the big count down to the Enduro race at Coca-Cola.
California!!..........A name almost legendary in minds of surfers and sun seekers, almost in the class of the world famous coast line in New Zealand where beaches like Waitarere, Foxton and Tangimoana are found and much like the world famous motor racing circuit Manfield which has the nearby glourious beach of Himitangi, filled with buxom beach babes in their grass skirts carrying their Poi Poi and those bronzed surfers carrying their spare tyres along with them, California also has it's own motor racing circuit.
Good luck to everyone at California, especially the guys who are searching for that spot in the NZ team. This week we call for a new thought for each and every driver to take into the race......

LOL - Unbound you are not alone!!!!
Hi - My name's Bryden and I'm a Nascarholic.........
Copied this off myself from that other thread:
This in fact is turning out to be one of my most exciting weeks in SIM racing that I can remember. The Wednesday night competition is getting so tight that I'm in a constant state of tension over who I have to beat this week and every week. I absolutely can not wait for Saturday to come, I think this race will be the highlight of my whole SIM career. I remember when at GPForum we had that thread about who you were etc and you had to post your greatest moment in gaming etc, well this race will replace many of the answers I'm sure.
And then to finish the week off we have another full on Sportscar race. Whew - what a glourious week.
And then theirs the Easter Lan...........

Team Scrumpy will be there......holding onto themselves?
Team SimTV will be there.........Standing in front of their mirrors!
Team MLC will be there..........With their wheels scattered about the track!
Team Marvel will be there.......Well when I say there, I mean the rest of us will be in fear!
Team Monsters will be there.......The whole reason we need wheelie bins in the first place, somewhere to deposit the rubbish!
Team DuD will be there.........Standing on the podium of course.
"It's Wednesday!!!"

Don't you mean "I don't think any of the Team Scrumpy* guys will even get near the top ten let alone the podium"?Snake Rogers wrote:i don't think any of the team scrumpy guys will even get near the podium let alone in the top ten

Actually Jetboy did make a good point. How about all the 4 man teams that normally abuse each other get together and we will run all those independents off the track.
In fact let's start with that Jetgirl felleress, 10 bonus points to the first person who takes him out. Her car is not hard to miss, it looks like someone chundered all over it and the driver dresses in drag to race......

Don't see much of the Monsters this slagging off crud, energy better spent on race track I reckon, plus good ole adage "better to remain silent and appear a fool, than open your mouth and remove all doubt".Jetboy wrote:heh with all the infighting and name calling going on...everyone forgets to turn up and team [sack] walks away with 1,2,3
muahahaha
Have fun ALL
