true thou some of the setups are deisgned for the shorter style races, so the rubber wears a bit quicker.

think the tourtise approach will work best

Thanks Ronwest.

I have tried to register before but didn't have any luck.
I fill out all of the required fields and submit but it comes back saying I need to fill in the rest...when I'm doing so.
I have checked the FAQ's but nothing comes up.
If someone is using the same name etc I can understand...but it dosen't tell you that.

In GTR for people to use a skin, you infact have to create and entirely new car. This has a few issues in itself. Its not jsut a case of having multi skins like NASCAR.

I dont think we need skins at this stage, you can use the "show drivers names" which makes it easy to see whos around you.

And yes we will be racing the same track twice

It's not that hard to make a skin/car for GTR, I've already made one.
The skinning is about as difficult as nascar, but to make the car all you need is GTRedit and you export a car you like, rename all the files, and import them to a new car file and bombs away.

Mostly correct. You can also just have them in the individual car folders. The only drawback to this is that if you want anyone else to see them, they have to have the same skin. The advantage to this is that if someone doesn't have your particular addon car, they can still see you since you're in a game-stock car. Probably the easiest way to go about this would be to have a league skins thread or something where you can just download everyone else's skins if you feel like it. And if you don't that's cool too, heheheh.

Actually, you can do it even easier... just extract the car body and windows .dds's to the car's directory. No renaming or shuffling, etc.

2 things which Spa are we going to run day, dusk, night or moning. I feel night will be good to make it intresting.

Maybe we need to assign a car to a driver, e.g #72 to Redvaliant and # 77 to whoever and so on. Otherwise what happens if two drivers are in the same skinned vehicle? Or doesn't it matter at this stage.

That's if you hope everyone will put your skin over the top of that same car.
If you want a standalone car that isnt't already in the game, you have to rename the files for that car

And with all the problems we have with monkeys that dont understand how to sort their skin in NASCAR, you think this will be "apples"?

Install the V8 mod for GTR, drive around for a few laps and you'll burn your GT3 cars... Also Sunday nights have always been the traditional road series night over here. /hint

Either way I'd love to run with you guys in GTR... but try the V8's, you wont be disappointed trust me!

There's not much of a problem really, if you can't make a skin/car, get someone to do it for you, if you can't put new cars in your game, get someone to help you.

I don't think I'm a complete lameass but registering on the Simracers website to become a driver is not happening.
I fill out all of the fields and submit it. It then comes back saying I need to fill in the missing fields, so I do...and it comes back saying I need to fill in the missing fields... (Always the same fields)
I have tried different passwords etc with the same result.
Any ideas???

I have XP with the majority of updates.
I have tried this on two different machines, connections etc with no luck.
