Here is a setup >8p (it's not a zip but had been renamed to a zip - so just rename the extension to .svm)

I renamed it adding .svm to the end but it is still showing up as zip and saying it is corrupt?

all you should need to do is save the zip file into your spa track directory for your player profile, then rename the .zip to .svm and you should be able to choose it in game.

If it's the game saying the file is corrupt, then you need to re-download it, but I'd suspect the game wouldn't show it as a setup file if it was corrupt.

Open Windows Explorer

Go to "Tools" on the top menu

Select "Folder Options"

Go to the tab "View"

Untick the radio box "Hide extensions for known file types"

Close

When you go to the saved file it will now have the .zip extension showing. Change that to .svm and it will be all apples. The problem is that the .zip is hidden and even though you think you are renaming it you are not. You are just calling it F360-Spa -Happy.svm.zip

Something is currently tits up. Everyone is getting dropped from the server within a couple of laps of joining. A final decision as to wether things are working and the race will go ahead or not will be made at 8:40pm.

If it is off the remaining schedule will be delayed a week rather than skipping the track.

Ok. Tentatively on at the moment but it's still under debate. At the moment we are on and the races count.

Please get on now. Login is taking several attempts atm.

We'll play it by ear. If things go dead we'll null and void it and do spa again latter.

Offical Race has been postponed till next week due to people getting discos.

You can still race but it will be only a pratice race with no points

It dropped me twice today whilst i was in there by myself and when I was on a good lap lol
and tonight earlier it dropped me eagle 32 and beetle

after everyone finished and left I tried again alone and managed a good undisturbed 6 or 7 laps. It seemed to be just when everyone else was on. I think I joined last so maybe it dealt to people in reverse order?

whatever Im glad we have postponed it (as Im sure Gojack is also - currently on a course in Auckland!!)

I was on by myself 2 diffrernt times this arvo and before I could complete a 4th lap it dropped me both times
then later early 630 is it dropped me eagle and beetle as well I think after 2 or 3 laps

Has anyone got any reason as to why it played up last night? Riven?

was it the server or an ISP having 'issues' or just a bad hair day for the interweb?

Server never went passed 30% cpu time, and the traffic was well under what it can use for the upstream. 1.4mbit/s last night, and first round was 4.8mbit/s peak.

I noticed no effects while playing BF2 on iconz (through APE) Xtra (through global gateway) and gameplanet (through WIX)

Maybe it was the track itself perhaps? just like Brno seems to give out more frame drops and 1fps bugs etc.

Given the login troubles my wild theory is that it was a problem with the lobby system which the accounts are authenticated against. Maybe the lobby can de-authenticate or cause people to drop if it has problems.

No idea really. Ah well bring on next week.

Good news for me at least.

Which Spa track were you using? I seem to remember a post in another forum about one of the other Spa Tracks having a bug, Spa special day event I think it was.
