Really looking forward to some more fun racing.....

I take it we have flagged the idea of pit stops for now.

Any word on the points situation, its only testing I know, but you have been keeping track and it would be interesting to see how things stack up. :D

We are using the latest from the OW-racing site,

this this for the hi-res mod

http://www.ow-racing.com/index.php?name ... etit&lid=1

Yes I see what you mean re the retail pack, which is essential over and above the mod itself, there are a couple of other files two from memory, i suggest you drop a PM to Daza, he can sort you out mate, cant remember off hand if the watkins track for tonight is in the retail pack or additional, without the pack your stuffed however, so we need to solve that for you.

Small but select group turned out tonite..great to see Flyboy have a go....

All the best with baby due any minute Flyboy, so if you can't make it Sunady we'll know the probable reason why and congrats.

Top Time so far is 1.03.8, and my set is attached if it helps...

Great track, just takes practice to get the confidence to trust the grip and gas it it places like the Bustop to get that time down I find.

Hope we get a few more come Sunday, last week at Spa was great just numbers were light.

Not tried it yet, but Daza said 1.56 was good.. so you're on to it already Murph.

Make that a 1:54.074

I've got an idea we could post something on a couple of the Aus sites to boost numbers for this week cause being an Enduro we will get spaced out (it got a bit like that last night and the ave lap time was about 1:05 let alone the 1:55+ it'll be this week) and an extra 5 or so people will make it a bit more fun.

I have no Stockcar teams racing this sunday so I could be tempted to install the mod for some laps round Bathurst to help make up some numbers. Would be cool if someone could give me a nice stable setup, you know me, not fast, just sure and steady, slow in fast out etc etc.

I see the skins are all available at SimRacerHQ but there are no track downloads. I already have a Bathurst track for Nascar 2003 so I guess it will be the same one? Anyway I'll grab the MOD from the OWR site and have a go during the week and see how I get on.

Inspector, I put up a thread for the track.ini update needed to be applied to Bathurst V2, the same linked thread should have a link to the track download.

The setups are fairly generic, for example the one we used yesterday may well be the starter for ppl to try this Thursday night when we practice. This set is available in this post. We use open sets and share them around on Thuirsdays etc and then Daza decides a Fixed for the Sunday race day.

Careful dont get the very latest 2005 edition, get the Hi Res Mod in the main Mods download section. We will look at upgrading to the newer 2005 edition after this trial league.

Make sure you get the OWR Retail Pack also, links for both are on page one of this thread also.

Note: Please choose a none RED car when you join, I'm not that big a Split Enz fan :D

I take it "owr2k5_v1.0.0.1.exe" is the version I should not have?

The link to the Hi-Res mod on http://www.ow-racing.com is not working atm for me to try re-downloading.

I tried to install the OWR mod with the file I mentioned above last week and got really really fucked off with it before I gave up.

First I had to rename my nascar folder to use the default "Nascar Racing Season 2003" folder name because it wasn't smart enough to ask what my Nascar folder was called. It also didn't give me any errors when I installed with my folder named as it always has been "nascar". The install just completed but didn't work saying a file was missing.

After I actually got it to install and start there were only 4/5 tracks available. I saw the posts about the retail track pack so I got that. More oddness here as it said to install it in my Nascar folder. Which didn't make any sense to me as it had made a whole seperate "Open Wheel Racing 2003" folder when I installed the mod. But I did as it said and suprise suprise that didn't work. Tried copying the modified tracks to the OWR install and installing it to the OWR install directly. Neither worked, both produced an error when loading the tracks.

At this point I tossed my toys, cursed and deleted it. :p

I take it all my problems were because I had the wrong version of the mod?
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

yes, you are using wrong one ..... we are still using the beta "1024_owr_v1" mod for this first season.
We will then have a look at the new updated version and bring everyone up to date
only 1 round left in this first season
