GTR SEASON 1 - RACE 7 Anderstorp

Post by Liquid » Fri Jul 29, 2005 9:00 am

Get some good pratice in people, this is a tricky race track.

2.505 Miles / 4.031 km

The circuit has as its main features a very long and wide straight, followed by a series of very sharp, level bends, interspersed with some daunting 180° banked turns.

Shall be fun

I been practicing off and on, but not with traffic, so what is a good time, need to know if I'm making progress, hope to join in on Tuesday.

Also, any thoughts yet on next league and whether skins will be part of it, got mine sussed courtesy of TonyG Designs, ugliest damn Porch your've ever seen :D

check GTR Rank arran, http://www.schuerkamp.de/zope/gtrank

I think 1:20 is slightly optimistic!
1:30 - 1:34 will be in the ball park!

Coolness, I was doing 32's I think at a push, so all goodness, as long as I don't tweak my setup outta the groove :)

Tons more downforce make them easier to handle... but the higher speeds make running in traffic a little dicier and of course the results of any mistake are magnified that bit more.

LOl, I misread it, I'm still doing 37's, cripes way more work to do, at least I'm consistently staying on the grey stuff, so that's a good start.

Anyone with a cracking Porch set please sing out :D

I don't know about cracking but I can drive solid high 1:32 low 1:33 on this one. It's good for 1:31's but I always bodge at least one sector :p

My fastest at the moment is a 1:32 flat.

Here is a setup.

It's not particularly great, but I may not be able to make anything better o_O

Once again I have just renamed the file from .svm to a .zip so I could upload the file, so be sure to rename it if you download it.

Anyone using my GT3 setup I suggest you drop the front anti-roll to 120 or maybe even less and make the rear anti-roll 15 ish.

Helps with the pushing out of corners a bit but you still have to be easy on hte gas exiting the corners.

Yes, second race was excellent with happy, bazz and I finishing within 7s of each other.

1st race was a bit more banger. Hit a back marker that lagged in front of me. Still good racing the rest of it.

Must learn to not selfspin when:
A- it's the start and I'm on cold tyres
B- I cunningly find the bump that I manage to avoid for 50 laps, and decide it's alright to keep the foot planted.
