Back again

Post by samk115 » Sat Jun 23, 2018 10:03 pm

Hi guys!

My short time here was put to an end by an rudely timed motherboard failure! I have had it replaced by the manufacturer and am now up and running again thankfully!

Im just trying to get everything setup again and ive noticed that Rfactor 2 now seems to have these stupidly annoying "lag" spikes, its like the whole game freezes for a split second now and then. It never used to do this, and ive not found than changing any settings helps as such. Has anyone else encountered this?

If i can get this worked out id quite like to join in with the open wheel racing!

Some people have had these issues, I know MMJs was actually caused by his hard drive starting to fail.

Here's a thread on racedepartment with (I assume) the same issue. Few suggestions there from updating drivers, make sure power settings on PC are on full, alt tabbing and focusing Windows 10 on rFactor 2 etc. Hope something in there helps you out.

Thanks, I’ll jump on and see if anything helps out. Might shift it over to my newer SSD aswell and see if that helps
