Don't think he is "the Stig"... Was just his car and only he drives it.. Stig is either a local race driver when they tour or a new driver each season of the series, sort of the pick of the best around at the time.

If Schumi is the Stig, imagine his paycheck weekly... BBC couldn't afford him

I've heard from some guy that it was a really good episode, especially the Ferrari FXX, very fast, hence Schumacher being on the show

Pretty obvious he's not the actual stig, becomes painfully clear as soon as the FXX takes T1 with the wider entry line that any previous stig.

Also the fact it's the FXX, Ferrari I would assume wouldn't let anyone else drive the thing

Interesting. I think one of the other ex / current F1 drivers (Damon Hill? Webber?) took a similar wide T1 entry when in the reasonably priced car. IIRC Hamilton, Mansell have also driven.

There is a precedent for on-off Stigs at the Top Gear track, when the Renault F1 car was there it is thought Kovaleinen took up the job for the day.

i doubt it very much that the BBC would employ F1 drivers to be the Stig.
