3 pages and no one has figured out that the most important thing for towing.....more important than power OR torque....is gearing???

Massey Ferguson MF35 Tractor...
2.5L - 3 Cylinder Diesel
Power 37.25 bhp
Torque 100 lb.ft at 1600 rpm
AKA...sweet f##k all of both.

But I'd bet it'll tow more weight than a Corolla and a Commodore combined, despite being built back in the early 60s ;)
