Just picked up Le mans for $20.
Parsons bookshop in lambton Quay...
wonderful wonderful shots of the 1970 race and hardly any plot to get in the way. In fact it takes 40 mins before ANY actor speaks a line!!!
This is a clip from when the ran starts and poor ole Steve starts having a hard time.

Yep it's a great movie, you just have to skip the talking bits!
Brilliant racing footage though. Love Steve's crash!
In a similar vein, I bought the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" the other day for $11. Clasic 70's car chase - basically the whole second half of the film (40 minute chase)
You know it can't be bad when the car has top billing in the opening credits!
I even watched the talking bits

Dan, I watched Gone in 60 seconds last year for a memory-lane-trip and couldn't believe how dreadful the acting and production values were (looks like they made it for $50), but that last, insane car destruction/chase is mad. When you're a kid at the movies in 1977, such things are the S##t and the talking just doesn't matter.
