Telecom to double data caps!

Also removing 128k upstream caps!
Soo... What's Inspires next move?
A 20gig cap would be a massive improvement for me I think, might actually be able to buy a full game off steam each month

Hopefully something. My techno-savvy son constantly reminds me that I can get a bigger cap and unlimited off-peak downloading for same $ at Slingshot. Anybody else here using Slingshot ?Bold wrote:...Soo... What's Inspires next move? ...

There has been a 100GB/month Fullspeed/Fullspeed DSL plan avail for ages.
Only ~$2 per GB too!

Good place to find info on where the cabinet upgrades are happening, just noticed that Awapuni has been upgraded....though everyone I know over here is on inspire Wireless
edit...bah http://www.telecom.co.nz/adsltwoplus" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; apparently 2011

Re: Telecom to double data caps!
My cabinet has been done already
I noticed ages ago that my modem connects at 15,000kbps, not that I ever get more than 500k/s downloads.. Might help if my upstream wasn't capped!

Re: Telecom to double data caps!
Wish telstra would pull there heads in lower our costs / increase our cap
10Mbit/2Mbit speed is all good but you can't use bugger all of that unless downloading from uncapped NZ servers (usually only the inspire racing related downloads infact)

Re: Telecom to double data caps!
Just got an update from inspire, they are also upgrading their download caps, effective immediately
10gig now gone to 20gig etc!
New plans are all here
No word on upload speeds, but the increased cap keeps me happy for now
