I went to DSE yesterday and temptation got the best of me, so walked out with a WD Media Player, 320gb Passport drive, 5 port HDMI switch and a couple of extra HDMI cables :D

Once I dicked around a bit with cables etc, its all good, nice small small media device (about 4" square) with cables going out the back and little remote, supports two usb devices and has a Digital Audio Output I not used yet.

A small remote controls switch box for HDMI, everything is black and blends in nicely, still room in the media centre for PS3 one day _b _b _b _b

So long... piles of dvd's and cd's littering the lounge, plus a bit more "backup" space. :D

I can highly recommend it, apparently it will play H.264 files also so that will be handy for higher res files :santa:

If you've got the time one wet Sunday, move as many of your dvd's onto the hdd.

You'll find it way easier when you're browsing the hdd player looking for a movie to watch, rather than flicking through your library and dvd cases.

It was about $750 i think before warranty extras...

The Player is normally 300, it on special at DSE for 250, the HD was like 220 and the HDMI switch 150....
