How do i find out what type of ram i need

Hey all i was just wondering if any one can tell me how to find out what type of RAM i need ie ddr, ddr2. any help would be greatful.

I downloaded a program called CPUID / CPU-Z http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Once downloaded there is a Memory and SPD tab on the top, which tells you all the details of the RAM you have in each slot, including if its DDR or DDR2, its mhz etc
