Router Help

Post by Snake Rogers » Sat Nov 12, 2005 8:45 am

I have a linksys router which runs really hot as i leave it running 24/7.
Am i meant to turn router off every night or can it just stay on 24/7?

can leaving it on 24/7 cause unstable internet connections?

Hey

I leave mine on 24/7. Only time it goes off is if theres a power cut :D

I cant see why leaving it on would cause Internet Connection issues.. Are they meant to get really hot? just felt mine and its only warm.

Could be something else causing the unstable connections? bad line? filters?

If they get too hot it can cause problems.. nothing wrong with leaving it on 24/7 though :)

As long as you don't have anything on top of it it should be fine.
