XP Home vs XP Pro

Post by Prometheus » Wed Nov 30, 2005 9:17 am

Looking at adding another PC for the kids to the home network (got about 4 at the mo').

Seeing it's just for their games and the Like, I was thinking of XP Home for a change. Is there any major difference apart from logon & security stuff ? Is the networking the same all around ?

Me being dense and lazy I just want to install it, run the networking wizard and plug it in and leave it.

Home basically excludes the domain support... so no I don't think you'll miss anything.

Yeah I didn't think it was a big issue, but as always, it pays to ask before assuming something !

Only other limitation other than Domain support is, Home can only support 3 concurrent network users accessing it's shares where XP Pro supports 10
