New Video card reccomendations

Post by Danman » Wed Oct 26, 2011 1:55 pm

I am looking to upgrade from a 9800GTS. I am looking at the Geforce GTX560 TI, or Radeon 6950 - as far as I can tell they look to be about the same grunt.
What do you guys recommend for under $400?

Cheers

Nvidia is the way I'd go, never had an issue with one, ever. Where as I've had 2 ATi cards give up under warranty.

I've never had trouble with either brand, but have generally found ATi are a bit cheaper for the same performance and easier to O/C if you need to do so.

nVidia Cards I've found generally have better in game support from developers.

Had both, found driver wise nvidia slightly more onto it, performance, about the same (ati bit cheaper)

Ive run both brands cards into the ground and still go, think Jamie got my 8800gt dunno where that went lol. Still got an overheating 4850 in corner of room that works perfectly even at 90 degrees lol.

Have an Ati 6850 right now and runs a dream.
