Just found something very interesting about the upgrade from version 3.0.12 to 3.0.13.
They have removed the DirectInput from the system.
What does this mean?
Anyone who uses the PTT from their wheel will find it doesn't work anymore. There is only two options now - keyboard or default.
I upgraded and then spent a few hours finding out why and what solutions there are (none at this stage) and finally did a system restore to get version 3.0.12 back.

Think I read in the changes log that you can turn it back on ? Directinput=1 in one of the config files.
Edit
"Direct Input Hotkey is now automatically changed to "Default" in preparation
to removing Direct Input in a later release. While you can manually switch it
back to Direct Input again, we don't recommend to do so."

I noticed this on the forum:
http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthread.p ... 3-released
As for DirectInput: It is marked as deprecated by Microsoft and will not make a return.
Not sure why though

You can map a wheel button to a keypress and use it that way, its how I've always done it.
If you have a logitech wheel, use the logitech profiler, and set a default profile.

I tried that and couldn't get the mapping to work through the profiler.Bold wrote:You can map a wheel button to a keypress and use it that way, its how I've always done it.

The button on the wheel didn't activate the keypress on the keyboard...

Been a while since I set it up.. from memory, normal profiles only work while in game.BK wrote:I tried that and couldn't get the mapping to work through the profiler.Bold wrote:You can map a wheel button to a keypress and use it that way, its how I've always done it.

If you go to the Global Profiler settings, you can set a persistent profile, which should work at any time. You will also need to have the profiler running at all times..
Did you try this?

I did the update, and all my buttons on the G25 still work.
