Best bet is to pic up a cheap tv from the Warehouse. Honestly, but that's my 2c worth.

Not in my experience.. Tv cards use overlay mode, as do games. And the way windows works you can only have one program using overlay mode at the same time.. Works great when your not gamingSnake Rogers wrote:I would like to have 2 monitors running. My lcd for gaming and my crt for watching motor sport on a sunday afternoon. (does that work?)

If ya decide on the tv tuner option, then Hauppauge is/was the best option when I got it. Either the PVR-150 or PVR-500 (twin tuner). They hardware mpg encode, while most others use the CPU. Dunno if they do HD tho. Mate just bought a 37" LCD TV that has a VGA input for around $1500, so something like that may suit ya better.

There's a wee external TV tuner called PlayTV Box made by Prolink/Pixelview. It plugs in betwen your PC and monitor. A quick flick of a button and switches from PC output to TV output. Could plug this in between your PC and your second minitor to do exactly what you want.

Hard to find, but I have one here that I've never used, you're welcome to try it out and if you like it you can have it for say...a couple of bottles of cab-sav?

You work with Mattly don't you? At Boston down on Boston Rd? I can courier it to you on Monday if you like, otherwise I'll be in around Newmarket on and off tomorrow (saturday) afternoon/early evening. Drop me a PM if you have any better ideas.
