Offers to streak past the wife to distract her (Oh! The Horror! My eyes are burning!) while Snake sneaks it in the back.

:D

Nice looking monitor, might have to see what I can get away with after someone buys one and lets us know what they're like for gaming. _b

MMM . . . and a 19" flat panel gives the same viewable area as a 21" CRT ? . . nice . . . but it only has a recomended refresh rate of 60Hz ? ? ? ? ? ? :(

Becuase of the way LCD screens refresh the display, having a 60hz refresh is not a problem like it is on a CRT

Indeed, you worry about response time on LCD's and 8ms is 125 times per second. Or, very fast.

The response time has to be low or you get the ghosting like you do on old laptop displays when you move the mouse around. That would be very bad in a game.
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.

I'll look after it for you for a while, then once she's warmed to the idea of you dropping $660 on more computer gear, you can have it back :D It's a sacrifice, but one I'm willing to make for a friend !

Ohh, I'd say it would only take a couple of years _b

Yes, quite right Bold.
An LCD refreshes the entire screen at the time, where a CRT uses an electron Gun that fires electrons from left to right, top to bottom, like writing on a blank piece of paper. To he human eye, even at 90Hz (90 times a second) this is noticable.

If you ever take a photo with a digital Camera of a computer screen , you can actually see it mid-write. This of course is not the case with an LCD
