virtual network

is it possible to link two computers via a network or virtual network connection to pratice, as I'm crap at driving and want to pratice with a mate

or do all connections have to go through the servers here ?

What game do you want this for ?

If it's rFactor, just host your own game with, even password it, and then your friend can log in. Providing you're not on dialup of course.

You could try making your own server-if you know how to do that

thanks...... I'll look into this, I know nothing about this game or racing in general, but know my way around a computer a bit and usually can follow instructions ........ my friends in Oz and his cousin in NZ are interested in the vpn and/or lan because I was stupid enough to suggest, providing the game allowed it you could set something like that up ... guess who now has to sort it out :ffs:

All you could change your dmz settings and enable the ip of the computer you creating server with then give your mnate the ip and he can connect.
