After spending two and a half hours on support last night getting my standard edition removed and then getting the limited edition game activated when it says it could not, I can finally look forward to this:

How do you tell what edition has been activated?

Yeah if you pre-ordered and your game just says 'Battlefield 3', you're gonna need a replacement key.

I pre-ordered through Playtech and got the wrong serial in my box. They told us to email them with a picture of the game box, serial and quote the receipt and handed you a new one.

This thread on GP Forums explains the issue from what everyone's had plus a bit of success with EA support.

So contact your retailer, get a new key. Redeem your LE code, uninstall standard edition. If you can't then install from the DVD (my disk kept trying to install SE), go on live chat :Puke: and get them to remove the standard edition off your account. Install, update and run. If you get a activation error, use the second fix here.

And if your retailer won't help you out, you can try your luck with live support or contact EA NZ directly.

A few of the guys at SRNZ have, but I haven't. If I wanted to play Call Of Duty I'd play Call Of Duty! I'm waiting for the big map + tank pack coming out next.

Likewise I've watched all the episodes, good quality and cover a lot of things that we encounter on the battlefield. They had me hooked after episode one when the white medic went away (during beta) and came back a black medic like the final release :larf: haha.

Armored Kill Trailer:

What I can see, theres the return of the JEEP!!! A couple of tanks, some form of artillery/high calibre land thing, an AC130 or some form of Gunship, and lots and lots of explosions.

Also, apparently BF4 has been confirmed for next year ... not sure if I'm keen on that ... seems to early. I'd much rather BC3

C130 looks interesting. I'd assume it will be a scripted flight pattern, something you can spawn into but not fly/control its path. Does look like it can be taken down.

Mobile arty, yay! I hope they follow the BF42 route and have spotting done via a kit upgrade, bring back some teamwork when using arty.
Choppers and jets look like they will have a map dedicated to them, but the others look to be more ground armor based maps, which is good.

Really looking forward to this :D

I hope the 130 is something that you can fly. End of the day, something that powerful should really take a whole squad out of action to use effectively. Of course it can be taken down, I'll blow it up myself with C4 and RPG's if I have to!

I'd hope it could be flown, like in Desert Combat, but with the fast Jets in BF3 it wouldn't take long for them to hit the enemy airfield from spawm and rape it before it gets some height. So I can't see it being something that has to be flown tbh, unless they have it flying in from off map somehow?

This trailer breakdown shows some good stuff that I didn't notice - Quad Bike :D _b

From the video you will see the two seats in the AC130, one is a gunner so it can protect itself. I'm not sure if the other is a downward gunner so that it can attack infantry on the ground or another gunner to protect itself. Certainly looks like it flys around by itself though. If you could drive it I would definitely consider loading it with C4 and blowing shit up when flying it directly into an objective from 500m up. ;p

Yip. :D

Poor old computer takes a huge fps hit on most out side maps. Caspian mainly, but metro it runs mint. No tress etc I assume as it's stuttery in metro rush when outside, but is fine in doors.
