FFS Sas,

1. We are a clan and I think its way out of line for you to make these spurious claims on a public forum frequented by both KSR and SCu members.
2. No need at all to slag us off like this in public.

Uncool Sas, very uncool.

Lol
I REALLY want to know what game he spent hours organising on, nice dragging someone else in on it too.....not!

Definition of a Clan (and if its on Google, it must be true):
In computer and video gaming, a clan or a guild is a group of players that play online games together. They may play against other clans via matches or challenges, also known as scrims (scrimmages) and wars. A clan's objective can vary from having fun in a competitive environment or participating in more serious tournaments and clan wars.

Dont mean to be a dog with a bone, but this the person that ended Sim Racing for me, so....

Enough of the side show......Back to Mr Harding!
If COD is a no go, there are several FPS's coming that may be of value for some interclan madness.....Crysis 2 & Brink for example
Also there may be a few busting out the pilots googles for IL2:COD.
Gayplanet may be up for something also, surely that lot could field a team for something.
Also TDU2 if you have any playing that, once the clubs come online that could be another opportunity.

There has only been a discussion on having a KSR vs. SCU match and already the claws are out!
This isn't a good start.
I think we needd to postpone this for at least a couple of weeks until we have sorted the game and teams etc.
And the fact they are into TDU2 at the moment...

There's too much bitching in this thread.

Sort a game & a place and shoot some shit, how hard is that?

edit
Well obviously it won't ever be that easy.

Which game does everyone have in both communities? It pretty much limits us to BC2, Black Ops and CoD4.

Black Ops could be a pain on the server side, so that should be considered.

CoD4 may very be uninstalled on many peoples rigs nowadays

So Bad Company 2, in 13 days as long as we find a server??

So next Wednesday from 9pm then?

No need to postpone for SCu we can field 5 to 6 players pretty much any time with a few days heads up to make sure we all are patched to the current version.

We are playing TDU2 as a drop in game nothing set in stone for actual clan nights with it. Its great fun though. We still play Battlefield Bad Company 2 on occasion and can dust off our copies of COD. There are some great new maps for Battlefield out recently too.

COD Black Ops or BCBF2 vanilla/Vietnam?

I have no way or contacting them so I rely on others keeping them in the loop, Bull said if I got something organized he would be go and post on their forums. Maybe the SCU boys could join the KSR forum, considering that it's free and only takes a minute or two. _b

So for the platform we have options suggested so far as:
COD: Black Ops
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Most of the SCU guys have accounts here, most of them had them way before you :)

Strongly suggest you get organised as a no show counts as a loose!
Unbounds right, on both counts. (omg, never thought I'd say that)

The last organised scrim wasted everyone's time through no shows, so I'd really only support another if you have confirmed numbers. :)
You were one of those no shows 2lo so you can't talk :larf:

Modern Warfare 2 still works. We could run a private server (Whoever has the best connection) with 9 aside.
I can get Digger and Angel (Our Accounts lady...who kicks arse at MW2) who have played with/against SCU before to join up if KSR are short of numbers.

UnbounD wrote:Having no server package for BF2 kinda rules it out as we found even when we did have a private server which is really sad.
Duuuurh!! Of course the same blimmin' problem apply's to Black Ops!!! Unless someone wants to fork out money to hire a server (I don't want someone going and spending money like that).

So it seems MW2 will be our best bet as we should most definitely be able to get a decent NZ connection, if Aaron is playing his connection is super solid and would be good. Get to choose our game mode etc.

Everyone should actually just get Combat Arms, start up a game lobby (can do at any time). And we would be away. Also a free game so everyone can play it. Guess we have a few magpies here though that only like shiny shit.

In his defense he hasn't said anything in this thread for ages. Instead everyone keeps fueling off each other. Any comments regarding any negativity don't belong in this thread no matter which way it goes. I'm just trying to get 'everyone' together in the name of fun. If fun's not your main priority then please resign yourself from the event :) . This is a general comment not directed toward you Mr Rogers.

Any feedback from the SCu (I think I'm meant to put a small u at the end?) regarding which game and any preferences?

In his defense? Im sorry but I think hes released hes messed up and is keeping his head down in embarrassment. Any strong reaction from us is one based on the strength of our surprise and pretty much general hurt. He was an SCu member for years and always welcomed to all SCu games. You may run things differently over at KSR but we are a tight group who all have personal links to one another and despite having varying opinions all have a good modicum of mutual respect for each other. Sas's comments feel like a personal attack and a general disrespect of each member of SCu and the long history many of us have with each other and hours sent dodging the real world over some laughs on Teamspeak. We are not all about weekly race schedules and championship points, we are a group that enjoys social gaming and the friendships that revolve around it. If that isnt a clan then I dont know what is....

I actually like Sas as do most of SCu, thats why this is most disheartening.

So this coming Wednesday the 23rd Feb Battlefield 2 Bad Company. Be on time as we only have a 2 hour slot.

I could make next week, assuming I have the game by then and have installed it, and played it, before becoming canon fodder, so No I will not be there THIS wednesday ;)

Au contraire

In the space of one afternoon SCu have read the posts on both forums, commented, sorted out game time, booked a private server, and are ready to kick some arse. We have at least 8 ready to roll for this Wednesday.

Here I was thinking it was pub night. .

If this event is successful, would it be possible to get the same booking for next Wednesday? Or another time if it suits better.
