BF2 - Older systems that work. :)

Post by Noon416 » Tue Jun 21, 2005 10:36 pm

Thought I might start a thread for others to post in, help people with older systems see what works and not.
If it works on "less than the readme requirements", it will encourage more players through lessening upgrade costs. :)

Heres one to kick off the list:

Code: Select all

SYSTEM
- Leadtek GeForce FX5600
- Driver version 66.93
- Athlon2600XP / 512MB RAM / nForce3 Chipset

BF2 DEMO
- Graphics all on Low / 75% Draw Distance / 800x600 res
- Constant 40+ fps
- No visible artifacts / glitches

BF2 RETAIL
- Unknown

The other thing to remember is whether you are on DUN or Broadband.

Has anyone on DUN tried it out ?

The demo puts through way too much data for dial-up. About twice what a modem can handle. Anyone know if the retail version will have a dial-up suitable data rate?
Cop: Are you OK?
Randolph: I don't know. I'm kinda ****ed up in general, so it's hard to gauge.
