.50 Barret sniper rifle RL footage

Post by Skuzzlebutt » Wed Jul 06, 2005 3:27 pm

Some 'holy shit' footage of some US military types shooting holes in safes and manhole covers with the .50 Barrett sniper rifle. Apparently some BF2 snipers are a little upset that this weapon will only do a one shot kill with a headshot in game. And fair enuff too.

(Odie and Jay, do you guys talk like this when you're at work? That'd be cool if ya did :D )

Personally I hate the sniper rifles in games like BF2 or CS. If they made it any more powerful we would just end up with 2/3rds of the players sitting on hills sniping instead of getting out there and capping flags etc..

Snipers play an important role :) I love sitting on a hill taking pot shots at the grunts, but I hardly ever do it cos of peer pressure ;) That and I love driving around running people over.

Not much...

M82 is a semi-automatic, and is longer.
M95 is bolt-action and is more compact.

Virtually the same weight (11.9kg vs 10kg)
Barrel length is the same (73.67cm), but the M95 uses a bullpup design to place the bolt group in the stock.

Both make the same size holes in people. ;)
