I like the game but I am completely clueless. Because I come from a game like cod4 I find it hard to easily identify enemies. Once I can (looking at map for ally positions first) I can kill them very easily. There are already bugs I have come across in MP, a revive bug... nothing too big. Ive only played MP so dunno what SP is like.

What's it like in comparison to things like COD?

Bigger Maps?

More strategy?

I guess its easier to hide and things unlike on COD when there is two distinctive team uniforms??

Totally different game to COD etc..

Only 2 maps I think, but they are several hundred square kms :)

Its not really an action game, more hardcore sim. You can spend several hours wandering the countryside setting up the perfect assault etc.

Try the demo.

Heres a video I made of some ingame multiplayer with other SCu members the other week.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43OvST53aQE

There is no map really, its just a huge living chunk of land. Everything you can see from horizion to horizion is part of the gamemplay world.

The enemy AI are completely different from Arma 1, you cant really compare them anymore. Battles with enemy AI are a totally different ballgame, it a real evolution. There are still bugs in Sp and a few issues BUT the gameplay and stunning graphics create a very compelling game. Its hard to explain , you really have to join us on a full town assault with 8 or more others to get a real sense of what this game is capable of. Playing by yourself wont really do it justice.

Come over and try it with us any time.
We currently have our own clan server, search for "SCu"

Usually Monday and Thursday nights, though Sunday evening is also proving busy

We have quite a few new guys so its a good time to come and try it with us.

We have a few KSR guys playing with us too, Growler, Mario, Scrunty etc.

PM them or even Snake Rodgers,

The best thing is just to jump on our Teamspeak Channel any night of the week and see who is in the Armed Assault channel.

In the Teamspeak IP address field type in simcentral.co.nz

Ill PM you the passwords for Teamspeak etc.

I'd be there, but my Vid card has blown up, and the temp card I'm using struggles a lot with ArmA 2 :(

We have our private server up 24/7 at the moment so feel free to drop in. Tomorrow night we are going to have a 7 player co-op mission that shoudl take about 1 hour to complete. There are still a few slots free if anyone is keen to join us.

On another note if anybody is thinking of coming over to Surfers Paradise for the Indy Super Gp this year get in touch with me. I live here now and my business backs on to the GP course. I also can get cheap tickets. _b

Yeah, I buy quite a few games off them, most new releases are about that price.

They are a UK company, but most titles ship from taiwan. Between 1-2weeks for delivery.

I've had one parcel go missing, they asked me to wait a couple more weeks, up to about a month I think and then were quite happy to send a replacement :)

They now have a ~$2 optional insurance which I do recommend.

Perfectly legit thank you very much.. Might be Hong Kong actually, not Taiwan, but some south east asian country anyway :)

You're quite welcome to continue paying your hideously over priced NZ prices if you please ;p
